Sounds encouraging, he's talking this down being a fitness issue which is understandable. Hopefully this is all miscommunication and nothing else.

It's a politically correct statement, but you have to wonder what "relations" Jones has with Bojan. According to Boj, he has been given no explanation.

Not sure. I had thought once he had played his first game and been taken off he would slowly get more game time and establish himself. This hasn't happened and so Jones talking about getting up to speed doesn't bode well and he's never going to get up to speed sitting on the bench.

"I have a very good relationship with him and I speak to him regularly. I've told him he's a big part of what we want to do here. The trouble was when I came in, there were 3, 4, maybe 5 who were so deconditioned because they hadn't trained with the first team, so to get them up to speed takes a little bit of time"
"I've asked for patience from those. If certain questions are asked of those players and they answer them honestly, it creates minor stories, but that's nothing new, and there's no problem with myself and Bojan. He's working hard. He's very much part of my plans and one I'm looking forward to working with"

NJ’s response sounds entirely plausible and makes sense if players have lost fitness training with the kids (though why the kids train less hard I have no idea - then again I’m not a football coach).
But why let it fester for 3/4 days?

Do we have anyone better than Clucas for the left back spot now when Pieters has been shipped out to France? No, I don't think so. ![8-|](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/rY_vRFLA3mqqdMbEG4cF.gif)

And as for NJ this isn't a free hit for the rest of the season, and at the moment he's making a royal fuck up of it. He will be sacked with his fucking diamond bullshit by April. I said that

Let’s get to the nitty gritty
Bojan seems to be a really nice guy and what we see/hear is “professional” in all he does in football related matters.
Now it’s TIN HAT time
IMHO
Bojan is a “nearly man” in terms of professional football at a decent level. Without doubt he has all the attributes of a gifted technical player, especially at our level. However his career was interrupted with a serious injury which has seen many others players in the same position. Some have fully recovered, others haven’t
He is not up to the weekly rigours of the Championship nor the EPL.
As a club if our ambition is a return to the EPL, we cannot carry passengers. That may sound harsh but I believe those with a sensible/pragmatic view will understand the sentiment behind the comment.
The Bojan, Bojan chants during a game are unjustified and to be quite honest embarrassing. They certainly are not conducive to supporting either the manager nor players on the pitch, or in the dug out.
Shouldnt we graciously let go?
If Bojan were to become an indespensable member of a successful team which saw us retrurn to the EPL there would be no body happier than me. I just can’t see it.
Please, Please don’t anyone reply “he needs games” just like Joselou and Berahino

Yeah definitely seems weird. Bojan’s words in the Sentinel last week certainly don’t tally up with what Jones has said there. Bojan’s words were those of a frustrated player who had received assurances that he would be playing regularly to stop him moving away.
I refuse use to believe that 6/7 weeks on from Jones’ appointment he isn’t up to speed. Even if he wasn’t he’d be getting more time on the pitch surely? Charlie Adam has got more minutes overall hasn’t he? And he’s one you would have down as needing to regain fitness.

We don't know if he's up to the rigours of the Championship because he's never appeared on the pitch longer than 60 minutes (60 minutes that suggested he was the most creative player on the pitch). Jones stated on his appointment that Bojan was an important player going forward and he reitereated that today. He needs fucking games, just play him!!

Do you really think that professionals involved in fitness, quality etc. on the training pitch don’t want him to succeed and be part of a regeneration of SCFC. They as others not only at SCFC can’t all be wrong and FFS “he needs games”........not again

There have now been a succession of professional managers, coaches, fitness experts etc. that have not prescribed to the “Bojan must play” theory. My opinion is not about the individual (give me a Bojan over Berahino 100% of the time), it’s about a reality and not about clutching at straws scenarios where we find ourselves at the moment.

Why cant the coaching staff see what you believe? Why is he still a big part of the plan according to Jones? If your opinion is correct why did we knock back a decent offer in January? I could go on and no questions argue his abilities Like I said I'm baffled with the decision making
