If we're not in for him then questions need to be asked. Why, is he the only left back in the world?

why would rovers offer 400k if the buy out clause is 600k?? 1. they don't know what the buy out clause is; only Crewe know that? 2. £400k is their valuation? 3. £400k is all they can afford?

Blackburn already have 2 left backs and spent big in the summer.
If they are interested they won't be able to afford much.

Never seen Pickering play so can only go off what is being put forward from other sources. Pickering seems the more glamorous full back, but he doesn't have the same level of pace as Doughty does.
Genuinely seems like the club are trying to significantly increase the pace within the squad, which makes it look more and more likely that we will be a more and more counter attacking team next year.

Let's face it, it's looking like we aren't going to be signing a left back this window.

If that analysis is an accurate one then I can see why we might be reluctant buyers. The last thing we need is another slow defender, we already get turned too easily.

Well if the Davies rumours are true it probably ends our interest in the lad from Crewe. Rather us sign Pickering seeing as that would be more of a permi deal!

Looks like we have a different target. Just seen this tweet
Stoke City are poised to sign Sheffield United left-back Rhys Norrington-Davies on loan after he was recalled from his loan at Luton. #scfc #sufc #LTFC
Would he be a good signing?

www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19004225.latest-rovers-pursuit-left-back-harry-pickering/Rovers’ hopes of striking a deal with Crewe Alexandra for left back Harry Pickering are unlikely at this stage. The club made a six-figure bid for the 22-year-old last week and were hopeful of tying up a deal for one of the EFL’s top prospects. It is understood two clubs were close on agreeing a down-payment figure for the left back, however, despite early encouragement, additional clauses, as well as a sell-on, look to have made any potential deal too expensive for Rovers.

like it or not mate you have no money coming in due to covid soon you will have to sell weather the player is worth more or not, i think you club is going to be cherry picked by bigger clubs, thats what happens when you are a very very small club,
