So for how many years will they be repaying this debt? As their income increases, they pay increasingly large sums back each month. It is still money from the pockets Of course rich parents have not always paid off tuition fees whilst inflation was next to nothing because it was such a cheap debt (this issue comes up continually in my job). But when the rate will be 12% and may well go higher, the student loan suddenly becomes closer to a wonga loan, and very, very expensive. Anyway, bigger issues are now back on the agenda, such as photographic proof Johnson is a liar and now must resign. Boris having a wee swally and telling porkies is more important than our children’s education and future prosperity. Are you serious? In my world, nothing is more important than my kids. so how can you trust a word he says on education or anything that will effect you or your kids from a man who constantly lies and u turns to save his own skin

So Johnson 'independently' asked the fiercely 'independent' Sue Gray if she wouldn't mind awfully dropping her 'independent' report in that meeting that didn't happen then did happen but on Sue Gray's request but really was directly initiated by Johnson himself.
Absolutely rotten to the core.

while thousand died because of there abandonment of the duty of care in law they drunk and danced on their memories this is something that no one should ever forget
a change of leader does not change the party when there are so many bad apples that are corrupt insensitive law breakers that think of nothing other than themselves and how to screw the system in there favour

While Deputy Assistant Commissioner Bas Javid can look forward a long and distinguished career in Her Majesty's Constabulary for his impeccable work in the Partygate Cover-up Investigation Well what of Sue Gray ? Is she soon to become a Dame of the Realm for her outstanding and professional work on her "Independent" Report into Partygate or will this become her Swansong in the Civil Service followed by her Character Assassination in the usual mouthpiece's and a quick exit stage left. Already the spin, counter spin and briefing's have begun Maybe this time there has been a miscalculation about who they have appointed to undertake the investigation unlike Lord Geidt who couldn't find his arse with both hands when he investigated Flatgate, twice. Staggering non-story front page from the Daily Heil really. They seem to have completely ignored the main issue of the day. Perhaps the result of all the money the corrupt Tory govt gave them in the form of 'Covid Bungs'.
You'd be better of getting a more indepth and considerate insight into world affairs if you fished your used bog roll out of the toilet and decided to read that instead.

It's just about as classic Daily Hate as it gets...complete hypocrisy about ignoring their own guy doing something even more blatantly wrong than the 12 front pages they spent on the other guy, plus, when things aren't going well...stick a big pic of the Queen on the front. The risible Express at least covers it. I'm almost tempted to say it's blatantly taking the piss out of its readers now, although that would imply a degree of self-awareness not formerly present!

ah, the meeting that Boris said he didn't ask for, and was definitely impartial. Did anybody ever really think that a report carried out by a civil servant, whose publication is dependent on the person being investigated, would ever really be impartial? There will have been plenty of conversations between govt and the Met, and govt and Gray to try to massage this farce into a manageable form. That's just a reflection of justice in this country full stop. And how position, money and contacts get you a different form of it.

So you should care about the prospect of 12% interest on a £50k student debts for children. We weren’t debating children’s education and future prosperity. We were debating pegging student loan interest rates with base rate rather than inflation, and whether unearned income should be taxed the same as earned income to subsidise some tuition fees. You are against both, i am for both. You really need to read what you quote more carefully.

So the rules are Boris must resign despite the police issuing no FPN but Keith only has to resign if he gets a FPN yeah ok, all the stop brexit loons are howling at the moon again..... Interest rates on debts are not irrelevant. If they exceed your monthly repayments, you never can get to a point where your monthly income is unencumbered by debt repayments. Particularly when costs are soaring, people need every penny they earn. Boris must resign for lying to Parliament (he obviously won’t). I for one hope he clings to power as he is toxic to the tory brand and he won’t win the next election if he is in charge.

Therefore under freedom of information now the police case has closed all should be available 😁 yes, should be. they're already trying to spin it by saying because the photographer was there, it must be an official work event. This flies in the face of the Met issuing fines to everyone but Boris and have deemed it an illegal event. "A government source told the BBC that the photos may have been taken by the official Number 10 photographer and prove Boris Johnson was there is a work capacity." www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-61560535i think the Met are seriously going to come out of this worse than man of the people, Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson.

Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe says Iran made her confess as condition of release link and the government stood bye and did nothing Or perhaps the focus of the government official was to get her on the plane by any means. Mrs Zaghari-Ratcliffe said she was told she would not be allowed to get on the plane back to the UK without signing the confession. So I’m guessing you would advise her not to sign it, protest to the Iranian officials and probably jeopardise her release . She has already admitted that the confession is meaningless so I don’t see what her problem is and thanks to the UK government she is now free. Cake & eat it springs to mind.

Loads of people out there who simply don't care what he does or how his government performs or perhaps even how it affects them, provided their side wins. Two and a half years to go...you can't see anything suddenly becoming competent with this lot, but does that actually matter for those folk?
