There are some leaked emails saying that the polling organisation Rasmussen was secretly working with the Trump team. This site says the Trump campaign was likely breaking election law. I don't understand how the campaign are breaking the law, it sounds more like it's the Heartland Institute. They're a bunch of liars, yes, but they're not legally the same thing as the Trump campaign. Yeah exactly. Basically tax-exempt nonprofit organizations can't do any electioneering -- broadly defined as "engaging in any activity to support or oppose any candidate or party." So the Trump campaign is the beneficiary of lawbreaking, but it's the Heartland Institute rather than the campaign that is actually breaking the law. |

West Virginia Republicans have submitted a bill to reject the election if a Democrat wins.
"That, the State of West Virginia will not recognize any election of the Democrat candidate for President during the 2024 election cycle if the Republican presidential or vice-presidential candidate is assassinated, seriously injured during an assassination attempt, incarcerated, de facto eliminated or barred from the ballot in any states, or is the subject of legal actions that preclude their effective campaigning;"
Basically Trump must be above the law and cannot have any consequences for his crimes, or this group of elected Republicans are saying they will burn down US democracy.
Because they will say any "legal action" against trump precludes his campaigning.
This really is an election over whether the US wants to remain more free to choose its leaders, or to install a Supreme Leader who can only be removed by The Party.
