Joke of a line up Joke of a competition now I for one am glad we are losing and hope that all the other U23 sides get knocked out as soon as possible as well. I find it psychologically difficult to be glad any Stoke team loses, but basically I agree with you. Without repeating the arguments I made on the other thread about this competition, the fact that we played 5 senior players further undermines the supposed logic of including academy teams. This is a leagues 1 and 2 cup competition ( we've won it 2 times : and wouldn't have wanted to play Academy teams when we did ) which we just shouldn't be in at all. Only 500 odd Morecambe fans. I'm afraid its become a shambles and a joke. |

I don't agree but can see why people think that. Starting 5 first team squad players though is imo taking the piss. If you are going to be in it actually use it properly. Just saw the goals. Crikey talk about horrendous goalkeeping. Oh dear! Anything online? |

Apparently not (somehow). There is an article on the BBC website which I saw this morning that listed the teams that have either qualified or been knocked out, and we weren't included? So I assume that if we win our next match and results go our way that we can still qualify? Still in but we need snookers then as John Virgo might say! We would need to beat Bury by 3 clear goals and Bradford would have to win at Morecambe. Anything else and we're out. |
