I just hate it when penalties like that are given. A goal is the holy grail of football and to be simply awarded one for nothing at all just makes a mockery of the whole thing. At the same time a cheat has prospered. Horrible stuff  |

I agree - soft as they come - but Bolasie WAS fouled and it was in the area so it was a penalty. Trouble is refs often don't give penalties in those circumstances so players go down to make it easier for cowardly refs to make the decision they should have made anyway. But so was Benteke mate Both players went down a little too easily but pardew won't be as vocal tonight Sorry, I was judging the penalty tonight, not revisiting a penalty in another match. For the very good reason that I never saw Benteke's penalty either live or on the highlights. |

It was a pen just for the sheer stupidity. Disagree, there is nowhere near enough contact of a bloke of 6ft to go down, he's not even got hold of his shirt Don't put your arm out and you don't give him a chance, stupidity, knew what he was doing. |

There's the old saying when a penalty appeal is refused that the ref would have given a free kick if it happened outside the box.
I actually believe that if that incident had happened outside the box no free kick would have been given. It really was soft as shit.

For the record, Palace have had 5 pens so far, feels like more I know, leading the way are Leicester with 10, twice as many as any other team as of 6 March.

Never a penalty. Yes there was contact but not enough to make him go down. If Pardew said it was he can have no gripes about the Liverpool pen that went against them this week. Equally as bad as each other. It's cheating and someone needs to have the balls to do something about it. Every team has players but there's some worse than others. Worst serial offenders for me are Hazard and that clown from WBA who got Geoff sent off. Aguero and Kane rarely seem to do it. Maybe that's why they're top of the scoring charts. They have to bring in retrospective bans in for it.

If that "challenge" had enough to "obstruct" a professional athlete then there's no hope. Does anyone really think that would've "obstructed" one of us playing on a Sunday afternoon? pure bullshit.
