I've heard somewhere that the club want to see an increase in season ticket sales? I personally wouldn't wait, especially when other sales strategies could be used. Lets use an example, season tickets for adults , they range from £344 - £519 (Early Bird Prices). That works out at £18 - £27 per ticket. The club have also introduced a £294 season ticket. So lets say 22,000 people buy season tickets each year, that means that about 81% of fans there on a match day have been offered a discount already to some extent. Therefore my proposal would be to use the new corner as an individual match day sales section only (No season ticket holders). Some promotion examples. 1) Groups of 4 (£100) - £25 per ticket. 2) Buy 1 Adult Ticket get 25% off second ticket. 3) Buy 1 Adult Ticket get 50% off kids ticket. If after the first season there was a demand for season tickets in that area, then the corner can be split into 2 sections. 1 section for new season ticket holders and another section to continue with what was put into place during the first season. Far too sensible I thought so as well mate. I thought it was a decent idea, not a bad way of filling it consistently.

stokiemattThat sketch up model is brilliant, any chance of one where the John smiths stand is carried round to the boothen and a broadcast studio is put above the tunnel?

The back page sentinel article today is about maybe increasing the size of the pitch to help our passing style next season. What a bloody joke. It's ok making the pitch bigger but if you have hurricane bloody charlie blowing through the stadium it helps bugger all.

What is it people are after, screens to protect from the wind and cold or more seats? I personally think increasing the number of seats would be a waste of money, as we can't fill it now. I could understand people wanting screens up, but perhaps people should decide what they want and make a joint petition. I want more seats, none season ticket holders and neutrals have very little hope of two or more adjacent tickets, fill in one corner and make it tickets for sale to non season ticket sales, only if after one season not being filled offer it for season tickets !! It would also allow season ticket holders wishing to bring guest`s to switch to this area to sit with their guests. Surely you have answered the question why the club will not commit capital to invest in assets that will not ensure a financial return. Would you buy more chairs or beds for your house if you weren't sure you needed them? Stoke have addressed the barriers that prevent people going like the cost of tickets and transport. Building a ms car park is hardly economically viable given the number of days in the year it would be used. Improving road access is a good idea, but I don't know if the club has much influence on local authority policy, who would consider it a minor issue compared with some of the other traffic issues the city faces.

I personally cannot commit to a season ticket but would love to attend more games with my wife and others but it is nigh on impossible to get adjoining seats,as it stands at the moment Stoke are standing still with very little chance of drawing new supporters to the fold, there must be a lot more than me in this situation and also a lot of people in the catchment area who would like to visit as and when they can? If you make the package good people WILL COME and fill any additional seats maybe not every game would be a sell-out but the higher priced ones with large travelling support most certainly would so personally i think for the cost it is not a big gamble in modern football economics.

I'm so so so sick of this "show some ambition argument."
Our owners have taken us from obscurity to a top 10 premiership team.
How much more ambition do you want?
Use the money for players and when we sell out every week then get it done!!
As for now can't we just trust in the owners?

I'd love to see a Brit Stadium that was finished off, but does anyone really believe the Coates family wouldn't jump at the chance of a cast-iron money-making scheme that some on here believe this to be.
They'd be all over it like a nasty rash if they thought they'd make money in the longrun from filling the corners in.
So it boils down to one question for me. Who's done more research into this subject, the Coates family, who have more to lose and more to gain than anyone else, or the people on here, some of whom now appear to be demanding that the Coates family spend their money on this project?
We're not selling out now, and it was only a couple of years ago that 2,000 or so supporters decided they weren't too fussed about what they were seeing and went on temporary walkabout. That's bound to be a consideration, and rightly so.

Friend called five
Where on earth has anyone said Coates family money has to pay for the corner fill, Just look at the opening post read it and try and possibly imagine where I happen to think the money to do it might just be coming from.
and here's a word relevant to this discussion and Stokes situation i.e. ENTERTAINMENT !
and here's another couple of words to chew over - INCOME IS IN THE PROCESS OF DOUBLING OVER THREE YEARS
and this is just the sky contract - nothing said yet about the international sell on contracts for showing games around the globe
Here's another word or two -Stoke City now possess access to a - GLOBAL AUDIENCE and a GLOBAL MARKET
not just fucking Hanley - Tunstall or Longton !
why do people think we're now flying half way around the world to play in a pre season tournament ???????????
mind you, there's always Newcastle town for those in the potteries who want to think 'really big eh' ???
FFS!
And those people walked because the entertainment on offer was becoming, if not already, Totally gash - awful in fact . Watching Stoke City away was bad enough and at home this translated also i.e. towards the end of Tony Pulis's tenure watching us at home was like going to a dentists for root canal work with the only positive aspect being - you fortunately only had to wait another fortnight to go through it all over again.
some fans left
he left
different situation now entirely and with our new manager signing for the long haul - I can only see the situation improving further
two final words - SPECULATE and ACCUMULATE - I dont even think its speculation either - actually !

I think theres one good solution to this.
1. The club come out publicly and say how many extra ST they need to sell to fill the corner and by which point they need a guarantee by. 2000?
2. Ask for a refundable deposit from people for a ST and consider offering them to people needing to move out the family stand? Or new fans? Or deals for familys/groups? The cheapest ST in the country deal?
3. Start a campaign #FillTheCorner , if it works great. If it doesnt, nothing lost and the club have details for some new fans?
@ukyestoney ?

All Righteous stuff but I still contend and will continue to lobby on the basis that:- it is inexplicable how the club continues to sit on its hands in this regard
esepcially given our circumstances right now - ie safe with 7 games to go and the likelyhood we should at least finish where we did last season with all that entails in terms of secured income.
as I keep saying:- look around - smell the coffee - looks what going on around our league and below - look at our competitors - what they are doing in terms of increasing attendence and marketing new ways of attracting even more supporters
look at our product - our income
this is still surely a 'no brainer' surely to god
and we continue to hear -------- nothing ! (other than a recent and rather vague - 'we'll look not it' 'IF you renew your season tickets' line from Tony Scholes)
Sorry Tony ------ NOT GOOD ENOUGH !
