What happens if they just increase the size of one of the stands rather than filling in a corner?

What is it people are after, screens to protect from the wind and cold or more seats? I personally think increasing the number of seats would be a waste of money, as we can't fill it now. I could understand people wanting screens up, but perhaps people should decide what they want and make a joint petition.

Good lad -this topic needs putting in 'someones face' at the club once again - if nothing else, to get them to properly try and explain, through sound business planning why, they are not presently doing it Id love to see that because quite simply - they couldn't justify their inactivity in this regard ![:-S](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/kdD1n42dnzYd3v59eUB_.gif) reason for this thread right now if you want to hit the weather window this summer for a quick, timely and efficient build available for next season you've got to commit NOW ! AND - Sir Peter (if you get to read this:-) - someones well overdue a right good kick up the arse in your organisation (with all due respect)

How about this. Yes fill in the scoreboard corner and move the scoreboard inbetween the boothen end and the main stand and incorporate it with a new sky studio or some sort of media centre and put a roof on that and even add a few more exec boxes to help very slightly to fund it or at least pay for the up keep and maybe then the stadium can finally be completed?? Just my thoughts on the subject.

Sounds like the chairman down at Palace wants to get one of their corners filled in.

It needs filling in asap. We are a top half premier league team it should be at least 30,000 capacity the club have all the relevant info concerning making extra seats available,if the demand was there then the work would commence, obviously the demand isnt there. i dont know why some folk find this difficult to understand.

Should just buy the land back at the site of the old vic and rebuild not least because I live 2 minutes walk away, expensive but whoever designed the Britannia stadium and car parking needs shafting, you can't polish a turd

build a new one and house the away supporters as far from the tunnel and action as possible, double teir high stands to save space and close to the pitch so it's enclosed and intimidating.

I will write to them at some stage if this does not happen by the summer interesting that some of my stuff, I know for a fact, has already been picked up by the local media and presented to the club previously so indirectly - my one man show in this regard - has gotten through to some extent already I just want to keep it on their agenda and I cannot imagine the club does not scan this message board from time to time to see 'whats occurring' I can imagine you haven't scanned the fanzine lately if you actually think next seasons income is only going to match this year!!

Tone, you need to get a shed load of red cards printed and show them at the game. This usually gets the club into action....

'There's none so blind as those who will not see'
an old quote - so, so, apt here
its obvious - the club needs to go to a 30k plus stadium
its the next 'bleedin obvious' logical step 'off field'
pointless repeating why
and this:- 'we cant even fill what we've got right now' shyte ( no other word fits) exposes a crippling lack of ambition and foresight and, a total lack of imagination or ability to market a now very successful product which, is precisely the mentality rife within S.OT that not only holds the club back but, the entire trent vale area backwards, a genaration or more behind the rest of the nation we all presently reside within.
A growing and successful worldwide brand sat in right your lap - and you cant / wont exploit it
cant / wont even chuck in a few extra bloody seats ( job already half done even) without grubbing and wringing hands and procrastinating like lowly serfs & peasants seated at a royal banquet
jesus wept !!!!!!
frustration is not the word

I voted and hope others do as well. Hard for overseas supporters to obtain tickets for certain matches. I sit alone in the boothen when I go. If I went with others I doubt we could sit together for certain fixtures.

I want more seats, none season ticket holders and neutrals have very little hope of two or more adjacent tickets, fill in one corner and make it tickets for sale to non season ticket sales, only if after one season not being filled offer it for season tickets !! It would also allow season ticket holders wishing to bring guest`s to switch to this area to sit with their guests.

I want to see current and future generation of young kids be able to experience a local club playing top grade football. I want our club to future-proof its attractiveness as an entertainment medium by making it easy and affordable for young people to visit games. The only way this can happen is for capacity to exceed demand and not the opposite. The challenge for the club is to make sure that the surplus capacity is kept to a minimum number of seats at the majority of games.

I've heard somewhere that the club want to see an increase in season ticket sales? I personally wouldn't wait, especially when other sales strategies could be used.
Lets use an example, season tickets for adults , they range from £344 - £519 (Early Bird Prices). That works out at £18 - £27 per ticket. The club have also introduced a £294 season ticket. So lets say 22,000 people buy season tickets each year, that means that about 81% of fans there on a match day have been offered a discount already to some extent.
Therefore my proposal would be to use the new corner as an individual match day sales section only (No season ticket holders).
Some promotion examples.
1) Groups of 4 (£100) - £25 per ticket. 2) Buy 1 Adult Ticket get 25% off second ticket. 3) Buy 1 Adult Ticket get 50% off kids ticket.
If after the first season there was a demand for season tickets in that area, then the corner can be split into 2 sections. 1 section for new season ticket holders and another section to continue with what was put into place during the first season.
