Arnie will be chuffed - we are going to be a proper little Serbian enclave although Bojan was born in Spain.
Good age (23) good pedigree (Barca) what's not to like?

Is he still contracted to Barcelona? Hasn't he been a bit of a disaster recently? Didn't he go to Roma and was a complete flop? Scored 7 goals in one season there. Interesting that Barca bought him back from Roma. Wonder why?

According to his wiki Ajax waived their option to keep him for a second year on loan. So that doesn't really say much about his performances there. But suppose when someone has once, however briefly, been considered a bit special, there's always the hope of tapping into it again. You're normally disappointed though

Yes, but he and Bojan both have Serbian fathers. Both of their mothers have vaginas too. These two are going to get along like a house on fire.

This is definitely happening, or at least on the cards. I just walked into work and a lad who's mate works at Rookery Hall 5 Star Hotel in Nantwich says that Mark Hughes is up there now.
Would be a great signing. Bags of potential. Never quite reached his true talent. We could be the team to bring it out of him.

Yeah but they wouldn't buy him back if he was crap would they? Considering he didn't perform that well for Roma, it is a bit surprising.

Considering he didn't perform that well for Roma, it is a bit surprising. According to this report Arsenal and Liverpool still had an interest recently. So Hughes can't be the only manager who thinks he still has potential. linkLooks like a "Dogs Home" type of signing but if, as the report above suggests, he is on a free, he has to be worth a punt surely?

Considering he didn't perform that well for Roma, it is a bit surprising. We don't know the exact circumstances as to why he was crap for Roma though (personal reasons, played out of position etc.). Seemed decent for Barca, so they obviously see something in him and probably got him back for a fraction of what Roma bought him for.

linkThe compliments came in the almost the same numbers as the youth-team goals. “Bojan is a treasure,” purred the then Barcelona manager Frank Rijkaard. “There are only a few players who have a magical touch,” said Pep Guardiola, “and Bojan is one of them.” Some saw him as the new Messi. Others compared him to Raúl. Spain and Serbia – his father’s homeland; his mother is Catalan – fought for him to represent them. They both believed they needed him. So too did Barcelona.
