So if this is the end to our business, all you 'can't believe what I'm reading!!!!' boys will be perfectly satisfied I take it? No but it's better than it was 24 hours ago surely? Getting KJ off the books is great business for the club and getting a replacement in who can score goals at this level is surely a postitive????? We don't know if he'll score goals though do we? It's been a good two years since he has with any regularity and he's knocking on and has the same attitude concerns as the bloke he's replacing. I'm not one like Benjamin Biscuit who's a negative turd for the sake of it, I try and judge things on their merits. He may well be a great short term fix and I hope he does, but the evidence isn't looking great. We needed a new first choice main striker and it looks like we're going to end up with a couple of huge gamble back up bench options. That's bitterly disappointing for me.

I really hope not. I'm hoping he takes Walters' place.

So Hughes has taken an educated gamble as well as the club in bringing in Odemwinge for Jones. I can't believe the posts I'm reading on this site from so called Stoke fans. What a welcome for any player when he really does need welcoming and given our encouragement. I though the gamble is pretty obvious. Jones was deadwood in the squad and offered us only a duplication of what we have in Crouch. Odemwinge has pace and has had a previously good scoring record. Who would I prefer to have until the end of this season? There is only one answer. We now have more options up front. It makes us better! I would still hope that we will sign another good striker before the window closes because I think we will have received a small amount of money too with this deal. Odemwinge will be busting a gut to get into the Nigeria team. Jones offered us little. Do you lot think it's not going to be difficult enough this season? The last thing we need in this difficult time is its fan base and the club being torn apart with all these stupid comments. This messageboard is the least of our problems, a large number of the fans at Palace last week slagged the team off throughout the match and offered no support. From 5 mins into the game all I could hear from the moron a few rows back was... - Walters you're shit - Crouch you're shit - Butland - fucking launch it, stop fucking passing it to Shawcross - Nzonzi you lazy... That went on all game and I hope I never have to listen to that c*** again. We've become accustomed to the Premier League and the expectations have been raised to ridiculous heights. Supporting Stoke is far less enjoyable now than it was when we were back in Division 2, ruined by the billionaires at the top of the league, the gutless FA and the refs trying to make a name for themselves, the greedy players who have no love for the game, the self professed ITKs who build up the hopes of the gullible, the wrist slashers who fall for it, and the negative atmosphere at the games because of the plastic fans with ideas way above their station. I'll be glad when this transfer window is over and we can focus on football again. It's going to be a challenging end to the season and we need to give our full support, I for one am not going to let these negative fucks ruin what's left of the season. Welcome to Stoke City Peter Odemwinge, I hope you prove the doubters wrong.

I agree that we need another striker in but something is clearly going on behind the scenes that we are not privy to. KJ was offering absolutely nothing, zilch!!!! PO will offer more than that, that's a fact.

But as I've said all along, PO is a far better option than KJ and clears some wages up for another signing (hopefully). Regardless if we don't sign anyone, this deal puts us in better shape than we were 24 hours ago. I truly believe that. I think that's how everyone should see the deal. A straight swap to get the bone idle and uninterested KJ out if Stoke City Football Club.

We're ending it with an ageing stopgap as cover. That's what he represents. In that context it's incredibly underwhelming.

I'm all for kenwynne leaving but to swap him with a 33 year old is hardly inspiring. At 29 jones still has a few good years left in him where as odemwingie could be finished. I'd have much preferred try sell jones and put the money to good use on a younger player. Imho Cardiff have got the better end of this deal.

Again your looking at this first choice striker, that might not happen this window so this transfer puts us in a stronger position than we were.

Hardly pulling up trees here was he? Going on strike. A swap deal was the best we could have hoped for.

Plus jones has shown if you give him device he scores goals, at 29 he is at his peak really. We've ended up with a 33 year old that can't get in a Cardiff side that are bottom of the league

Selling Kenwyne and signing the nearest window cleaner would as well given KJ's burned his bridges. There's still enough baggage with Odenwingie to cause concern. But 'it might not happen this window' isn't really much use. We're in big trouble without first choice strengthening.

Jones couldn't get into a side with the 5th lowest scores in the league. Was the highest paid player at the club, Was happy to goon strike to engineer a move Will never reach his potential

Facts are this deals going be done, I really hope P.O does well but I still think Cardiff have the better end of the deal.

I've not come to terms with Stafford Stokie offering someone on over a pint today. I've had visions of him adorning a mere towel and a bag of sex toys as he waits at the bar for his challenger. It's horrible.

Hughes actively adding crap again.
And people moan about deadwood.

Absolute joke of a message board now Don't post anywhere near as much, tonight's just proven it Some of the posts and posters remind me of the suicide squad in 'the life of Brian' film Fook sake everybody why do we have to tear apart every player before theyve even kicked a football? Welcome the bloke, its not as if weve unveiled a rather fat simon stainrod or paul stewary at the end of their careers Sent from my LT30p using proboards
