I have an 11.2km to post from tonight which I'm very happy about. Starting to get close to what I used to be able to do. Now I just have to be able to do it 2 days in a row Good work POOBster! Rather than go for 2 consecutive 11k days why not alternate long run days with days when you do say 6 shorter speed intervals of 1k each but at a higher pace with 5 minutes rest or slow walking between each? I reckon that would build your speeed and recovery capabilities and you would soon see the 11k turning to 12k as a result since the pace would feel far more comfortable since you will become used to working at a higher pace in the speed intervals. It would also keep it interesting and make it fun, variety being the spice of life. That's my theory for what it's worth but what do I know?! Gods (your personal trainer) I build in the increase/decrease in speed anyway Gods, its build in to my 1 hour playlist. I end up changing speed typically every 2/3 minutes. I never go down to walking speed because that can disrupt me, I like zoning out and just slowing right down ruins it for me.

10.9km for today. Probably my last posting before the start of the season and I'll do a final tot up on Saturday so get your miles in!
Bit less than on Tuesday, but I did increase the incline, burned more calories. Took 25 mins to find my stride and averaged 11.5km over the last 35 minutes so I'm pleased with that

8 miles tonight, about half mile from home when the rain started, was very humid at the start, so I was leaking out of the forehead constantly.

After 6 days of inactivity i thought fuck it.I did 4 steady miles with a knee support on and my knee felt ok.My hip/groin area was a little uncomfortable but not too bad.It was quite painful this morning so I thought i'd walk the 4 miles to work and although it feels a bit sore it's not too bad.

I did Nice to Cannes marathon last year around the same time as Valencia in November, and that was getting on for 20'c all weekend
