I'm planning on training for my first half Marathon in June. Main reason was decided to do 100 miles in March, for charity and now in reasonable fitness thought I'd carry on. Slacked of a bit this month so need kick start.
I'm can run 10k in around 55 mins. Anyone got any advice for training for the half marathon.

Managed a 1:55 PB today for the half marathon (8.49 per minute average with 2 of the miles being over 9 minutes) I ran 1:59 in February so pretty chuffed with that. Dom, I have been doing alternate 5K and 8 miles runs. 5K obviously trying to run quicker and the 8 miles for a bit of endurance. The combination seems to working OK. Also - got these crazy muscle twitches in the calves today after the run. Not cramp or anything painful just mad movements - a bit like an alien was going to burst out at any point. Edit: It's OK I've googled it. I'm not dying (again)

10 miler this morning around Rudyard and Ladderedge following the feeder stream from the dam through the valley to Ladderedge and back on the old railway line. Stunning this morning as ever in the sunshine with the path navigable because of this dry spell. It's proper cross country mud when the rains come

Saw that. She absolutely destroyed the time and her mum said on the radio she hasn’t been training properly because of lockdown. Who the fuck timed it?

From East Belfast, I've done a few parkruns there, Orange field is one, I wonder if she ran one I was in as I normally see people going off into the distance

I managed a run last night, first one in nearly 3 weeks and only about the 3rd in nearly 6 weeks, hope to get back into the groove again now and start cranking those miles up.

11 miles Saturday and 9 miles today at a steady 9 minute mile pace. Went early morning (for me anyway) 7.45am - nice and quiet, still and a cool feel in the air. Lovely.
