14 steady miles early on taking in Hem Heath and Kings Woods behind Trentham Gardens. Forgot how bloody steep it is up there!
Bit of SAS training too as I had to crawl under a fence 😂
Great views of The Brit up by the monument.

I’m the same. Anything between 7-10k but 6 days a week. Mad busy with work so been going out at 21:00 at night and really enjoyed running in the mild weather round deserted streets. Coronavirus might be good for the nation paradoxically, going out on my bike at the weekend never seen so many runners/cyclists/walkers..... I did another 10k tonight. Been using my treadmill lots recently. Not a fan of it, but just want to isolate away with my family. That's 48km over the past 8 days for me.I'm chalking up more kilometres than I ever have. Think I was averaging about 25km per week before all this. Yorite, Pips. Impressed. That's about 30 miles in old money - - you're going to be the fittest one on 'ere (apart from Fel) in a bit. You any good playing at LB? xxx

Loved a 50/50, great engine, lacking in natural ability, never shut up. Captain.

16 miles this morning, tough course, plenty of climbs and just under half of it cross country with poor surface underfoot. 252 metres of elevation in 2 hours and 10 minutes.

Don't turn your phone off, sunbeam, you could be IN when things get back to normal.

Back to the speed sessions this morning, not lost too much pace.
Hopefully keep the fitness up for when racing starts again.

April 21st, 2020 We have learned from the press conference of the Berlin Senate on April 21, 2020, that according to the Containment Ordinance, all events with more than 5,000 persons will be prohibited until October 24, 2020. This applies to many of our events, but especially to the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON, which cannot now take place on September 26 and 27, 2020, as planned.
We will now deal with the consequences of the official prohibition of our events, coordinate the further steps and inform you as soon as we can.
Until then, please refrain from contacting us by mail, phone, contact form and via social media channels.

Off the Berlin Marathon 2020 webpage tonight....and Im gutted. Already raised just under £600 :-(

I just think that gatherings will exacerbate the spread of Coronavirus so until we've got some herd immunity or a vaccine I can't imagine another Stafford half or the like with 4,000 runners crammed together along with the watching public.

Did 8 miles on Sunday - Had a little recovery cycle last night because I couldn't walk.
Going to a relatively quick mile today

Got back up to 10k now, although seems a struggle with a few stops to take some nice photographs, can't believe where the energy and strength has gone, this virus must be a right toughie, it hung around for about 3 weeks and takes it out of you, from being marathon ready as well.

A couple of 10Ks a week is enough for me. Plodding around in about an hour. Fuckin ell you've got faster 57 minutes today I almost enjoyed it. That's 40 miles now this month. In other news I saw a thread on twitter today asking how often you change your trainers (after how many miles) They were saying 200 - 500 miles. I've had my current pair for years. Must be well into a couple of thousand miles by now. How often do you 'pros' change your trainers?

Genuinely don't know how many miles I do in mine, I tend to replace them when I feel it's right. Some brands seem to last forever, and some like Nike have a bit of a shorter life.

Sub-50 10k this evening, on one of my regular routes from Biddulph to Congleton and back.
Glorious weather.
For a short while I forgot the world is absolutely fucked. A temporary period of bliss.

Also, broken 400km for the year so far. 600km to go to reach my goal. Although having said that, if I stay injury free, I might revise my goal to the distance from Lizard Point to John O'Groats. 806 miles / 1297km 👍👍👍🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️

I usually change them when the foam starts to break down on the heels.... sub 2 hours half in your local race on the way?

I still have the shoes I did the London marathon in in 2017 and they're not in bad shape. Must have covered well over 2000km in them - Adidas boost material seems to last forever. Then again, I rotate pretty heavily and currently have 5 pairs of road shoes and 4 pairs of trail/fell shoes. 4 pairs of the road shoes are Adidas with boost soles. I've had other shoes that haven't got much past 300 miles though. Once had a pair of Nike pegasus where the sole compressed on one side of the heel really quickly and they buggered my knee. Also had Nike vomeros and they've been really good and lasted ages. Something all the Nike shoes seem to do is the rubber comes unglued underneath, and sometimes it's been within the first few months. Never had any other brand do that. Could be to do with buying older stock from the outlet in Talke maybe?

I want to do about 10-12miles in a few hours, advice for hydration starting form this point welcome - I'm presuming it'd be really stupid to tank a few pints of water.

I managed 6k on the canal toward denford. It wipes me out though, I’m probably running too fast / far. Too steep for you? Beautiful part of the world. I managed to get a 10 miler in down that way just before the lock down. Parked up at Cheddleton station and took the canal down to Deep Hayes, managed to fall on my ass in one of the muddy sections and back on the canal path. The young whippersnapper I was with decided to put a 6.30 mile in for the last one
