For the first time Saturday quite a few of my friends turned on Pulis, Their is always a few that just dont like him or his football, but this was people i consider middle of the road.
He seems to have got over the Huth full back experiment now is working on others.
We look unbalanced, slow and boring,no problem away from home play two full backs on the right but not at home.
A couple more home defeats in this manner and with his dubious selections and the groundswell will turn on Pulis.
If this carries on expect a lot of people will be questioning renewing season tickets ,which is a massive shame. Sort it out Pulis and stop being scared of your own shadow.

I've seen far worse football in my time supporting stoke, only the glory hunting band wagon jumpers will leave. Maybe for the best..... Sorry but that is remotely not right. These 'glory hunters' as you call them make up at least 10,000 of our gate. If you really think that it would be for the best to sit in a half filled stadium, watching hoof ball then good luck to you. I am sure Mr Coates and family would be more than happy to cover the short fall in gate money On the initial post - there was indeed quite a lot of moaning at half time, apathy to get back on time and moaning on the walk back Mind you that was nowt compared to WHU away last year when the away fans 'probably made up of a lot of non glory hunters' turned when he took Matty off and put Pennant on - now that was nasty But he saw the light and we played some great nogga from there on in, so hope springs eternal

One bad performance and people think we are going down makes me laugh.I like pulis but at times i cant understand why he plays the people he plays.Shotton and woodgate shouldnt of been on the pitch saturday for me.He needs to play his strongest squad and not the squad he gets on with the most.

It loathes me to say it but the first half on Saturday was the worst football we have played since we were promoted. It was simply dreadful.

There were two main issues i had with Pulis on Saturday. 1) Pennant not starting. 2) Woody starting. With Pennant, I hope Pulis has got over whatever issue there was with him, and can see he should always start if fully fit. With Woodgate I honestly think that Pulis' hands are tied, there is no way he should be selected RB ahead of Shots or Wilko. I've heard some say that he has a guaranteed start - in this case then RB is the only option TP has (breaking up Huth/ShawX is always fatal). I've also heard rumour of some sort of agreements being made after Woody helped bring Crouch to the club. Whatever the situation, it needs sorting in the best interests of the club - cos at the minute Woody at RB definitely harms us.
I also walked away from the Brit saturday thinking, pretty much every player who played at Wembley vs. Bolton was available to start against WBA. If that team selection had been put out we would have battered them

Its not 'one bad performance' at home unfortnately is it ? We have seen some pretty grim stuff at the Brit recently (thankfully bolstered by some much improved away form) Most of this coincides with not playing with two wingers at home and going at from the off to 'batter' the opposition. Sadly alot of this seems to reflect TP's state of mind (caution before anything else) which to be fair also stems from the run of defeats we had earlier in the season. I can see the OP's point though, that the waiverers / newbies will want to see attacking / winning football and arent use to some of the stuff TP served up first time around !

One bad performance,I don't think so.this season at home has been dire.apart from, a few games,,and who has said we are going down.the fact is we could be so much better,if it wasn't for strange team selections.,there is only one man who is responsible for that.he should not be above criticism.

Playing the wrong team and losing home games then no dumb fucker will put up with it for the sake of it unless you have money to burn and a proper sad cunt!
That Saturday was absolutely dreadful to watch and for good measure he said Palacios couldn't play in the wind!!!
Simply laughable amateur talk from Mr Negative! Only one man thinks woodgate and shotton works at home!
Boring boring boring boring

TP must have a vendetta on Pennant and a Woody love in. Change Tone! If so then it definitely contributed towards that dire performance on Saturday, along with Delap's inclusion. But then again when you consider that Huth/Sorro were to blame for the first goal and Walters for the second, we had too many other players that weren't good enough on the day either

Still think we're some way from that happening yet despite the football this season being generally pretty poor.

If the crowds drop it won't be because of the style of play on Saturday rather because we have only taken 2 points from the last possible 9 at home against in the last 3 matches against Villa, Wigan and WBA which were all considered to be winnable games.
And that will start to discourage the more casual supporter.
This is a results business in the end, not judges holding up cards with marks out of 10 for style.

Gods maybe im different i will put up with the dross we produce if we get half decent results.
Watching us fuck about like a dog with a ballon against mediocre opposition at home is different with square pegs in round holes ,using negative tacticts at home i wont. Neither will people less engrained in stoke City than me.

But it's not just "Gloryhunters" that will leave. This is my 30th year of watching Stoke and the absolute dross hat has been served up at home this season makes me not want to renew my season ticket. I love Stoke City though so no doubt i will renew it at the last minute in hope that Pulis will at last stop being a stubborn twat and pick his best team. But over the period of his managerial reign i have almost completely fallen out of love with football. I really am attending games out of habit this season.
Strangely enough Saturday was the first time we have lost and i did not get angry, i simply wasn't that bothered that we had lost

it's not just gloryhunters, it's also the fickle fanbase that in general we do have. It's not a knock at anyone on here but just our fanbase in general is very quick to turn on people/players.
yes our home form this season has been poor. And I'll admit even I (one of the most loyal of the Pulis fanbase) has become frustrated and even critical in the last few games, but in a wider look on things, look where we are. To be honest I'll watch this dross for another half a season if it means we learn from it and progress next season.

It's not just one bad performance though is it,our last three home games have been attrocious to watch and the away games have hardly been inspiring either. Sir peter just needs to give pulis a huge rocket up the arse and remind him that he needs to pick his best side at all times and not to keep short changing the paying public who keep him in a job.

I have to say that although i cannot agree with any talk of removal of Pulis at the moment, i dont think he does himself any favours whatsoever with his negative selections and lack of any change in direction when for example weather conditions dont allow for a 50 yard boot up the field.
Whatever people may say I strongly believe that this is the most talented squad we have ever had and he needs to pick those players with the talent and trust them to perform for him.
We shouldnt be fearing anyone at home and i think the players played on Saturday like they didnt believe in the team selection either.

I bet these blokes were the ones who thought we were champions league bound after winning 4 on the bounce and the same people who will pinching themselves when we line up against Valencia in a competative European game, the same people who might have enjoyed 2 trips to wembley last year , the same blokes who havent had to worry about staying in the division the past few year , the same people who don't have too worry about us paying stupid wages and stuggling to improve our playing staff.
What a wank manager we have , i hear swindon are playing some stuff. You can tell them from me to fuck off down there. Sick of half wits blarting after every loss or bad performance
