So we should expand just because wolves are?! Best thing we can do is fill in the corner where the screen is then see how It goes

Its alright having plenty of seats if you can fill them.
Why have a stadium which is going to have a load of empty seats for most of the season.
A the min we only seem to sell out for the big games eg Man Ure, Liverpoo etc.
We didnt even sell out on Thursday for our Euro game.

The tatters are going to build that new stand facing Heath Town and Whitmore Reans. That way, the fans will see more shooting!

We don't sell out our current capacity enough to expand the Brit. Any group of empty seats will destroy the atmosphere in a stadium, as Wolves will find out, so we should stick with what we have unless crowd sizes increase in the coming years.

It's supposed to be growing from 29,000 to 36,000 by 2015. They'll never fill that - their highest attendance so far this season is 26,500. Lots of empty seats there!
I think we do need to increase the capacity at the Brit. We don't fill the Brit enough because people can't get two seats together - I imagine there are a lot of Stoke families that don't go because of it.

They could probably get a few thousand more than us like average crowd of 30-32,000 if they do well. We could probably get 30,000 playing top six sides and what we get now if ground big enough. We should just fill in two corners ground would be almost to sold out and atmosphere would be amazing in a full enclosed home stadium

How many games in the Prem have not been sold out to home fans; 3?, 2?, 1?, 0?

Wolves have planned all the way up to 50,000 capacity. It's all over the hoardings on the site (which has SHIT health and safety. Literally anyone can walk on to the site where machinery is operating!)

I really cannot see the point in Wolves doing this. Their owner is just knocking down a new-ish ground and starting all over again just for the sake of it.
Stoke have a far greater case to expand than Wolves. Our home capacity last season was close to 99%, and we have sold out for every game in the league so far this time. The next game is against Fulham and we currently have 200 tickets left with eleven days to go. West Brom are looking to expand to 30,000 with average gates of 23,000, so why should we always be looking at worst case scenarios of not selling out against Wigan, and think about lost revenue when we play the big boys and could shift 35,000???

havent got a clue what wolves are trying to do but if i was the manager i would want the money spent on the team, not on seats that will only be filled 3 or 4 times a season. ourselves? i wouldfill in the scoreboard corner first then see what happens with attendances. i would hate to play in a 3/4 empty stadium which is what will happen if wolves go down or like the great unwashed up the road

Went past it yesterday and it looks massive. They are going a bit OTT but it'll look good when its done, and the Steve Bull stand is shit, their PA system and video screens are fucked and the concreted corners looked daft, so fair play to them for doing something about it.

Any talk of us extending capacity should be put away for a while after the Besiktas attendance in my opinion. 4,000 empty seats for a game of that size is far too many, especially at £15.

I like the idea of a huge home end though, our atmosphere would be quality with even more in the Boothen.
