Absolutely spot on! Within this country we are constantly running scared of offending people. Personally, I don't see the difference between a racially motivated attack and a group of people attacking someone because they have ginger hair. They're both equally wrong attacks, but for some reason very few agree with me, and much, much more would be made of the racial attack. Only if it was an Asian being attacked, of course. You hear more about racial attacks because I don't think many people get attacked for having ginger hair... There are plenty of stories in the news about attacks that have nothing to do with race. The ginger hair was just an example off the top of my head, quite literally infact. My point was more about the end of my post, how a group of non-whites attacking a white is never referred to as a racist attack because racism, just like sexism, only ever works one way in our society. |

I'll explain it Stafford. Your joke was intended as a jibe at Wolves. The jibe was that the area has a lot of muslims. The implication being that it is undesirable to live in an area where there are a lot of muslims and/or mosques.That's the racist undertone. Hmmm, I get the fact that the 'joke' was alluding to a high Muslim/mosque count in Wolverhampton - but I don't see how the poster was 'implying and undesirable area'. People read between the lines differently, not saying you are wrong, just that I didn't pick that up from the 'joke'. Some people are more easily offended than others, and some people would say that to consider an area with a high muslim population 'undesirable' is a racist opinion. Well of course they would. That's kind of my point, isn't it. |

Fuck me this thread is carnage- back to the point.i think its great that the Wolves have the courage to redevelop a ground which was completley screwed up by the near bankruptcy of the early 80s and the fact that the ground redevelopment was not completed according to the original plans, leaving it feeling completly dysfunctional...on the issue of thier support- they can draw 30,000 plus with the right commercial strategy, they have always had bigger potential than us.
Should we expand our ground?- only if we can encourage more of our local Muslim population to come, as we have captured all the local poor white community already, and the Vale have attracted the product of all the animal experiments from our local Universities

The faith/religion they follow doesn't bother me. When it becomes extreme and affects others then it does bother me. What with most of the Wolves fans now going to watch the match in the pub following the court hearing, the attendance will drop by 10,000 odd. The new local derbies against Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester, Forest etc may address this problem. |
