There is one reason why Wolves dont fill the ground, as i said on attendances thread.
Moxeys prices. Compared to Stoke :-
Season Tickets adult cheapest - Stoke £449, Wolves £528 Season Tickets 18-21 cheapest - Stoke £375, Wolves £528 Half Season Ticket Adult - Stoke £180, Wolves £265 Cat A games prices cheapest - Stoke £30, Wolves £34 Cat B Games prices cheapest - Stoke £25, Wolves £24
If Wolves had same prices, same amount of team investment as Stoke, I think we would be getting 30000 most games in a ground big enough, and the 36000 capacity (if it ever gets done) will be useful for some matches.
If we do go down tho, wont need more than 15000 in this economic climate.
The main tickets that are not selling out are the side stands at £41.
There is also an additional £1.50 booking fee per booking at Wolves, and it costs up to £4 per phone call as Moxey uses a premium rate line for the ticker office, most clubs charge about 10-20p per call. If anyone is a cunt its fucking Moxey.

Infairness to the club I should clearly havepointed out that the early bird is £375 cheapest, but th eprices I higlighted are standard prices for anyone else. Some clubs allow non existing ST holders to buy in at early bird prices by certain dates, not sure if Stoke do? Wolves dont, you have to pay £528. Many refuse to pay this when you get in at £100 less at all our rivals irrespective of whether you are an early birder or not.
So it's not quite as bad as i was highlighting, but its prohibitive in that new fans or young adults are more or less excluded in reality. The associated booking fees are shocking and typify Moxey.

Joined in this 'expansion' argument a few times in recent seasons and I've come around to the idea that it would be 'desireable' to extend bit by bit for a number of reasons. As has been stated, we only ever have a very limited number of tickets available for general sale for ANY of our games (with over 20,000 season ticket holders + the away allocation). When we don't 'sell out' it's largely because the away following isn't sold out, although I accept that there will be some spaces in the home areas. I don't see the 'not selling out for all our games' argument as a massive justification for the lack of expansion when many of our games would easily sell out an increased capacity of say......£30,000. The fact that there would be SOME space for SOME games shouldn't disuade us from improving our capacity and the look of the stadium.

If for no other reason than creating a better atmosphere and reducing windy conditions we should fill in those corners asap. Additional capacity is a bonus that I think will just about pay for itself.

I like the idea of a huge home end though, our atmosphere would be quality with even more in the Boothen. If we were going to expand the ground, I'd prefer it if we extended the Boothen End. I don't mean stick an extra tier on, just make it one massive bank, going twice as far back as it does now. Glorious.

What would it cost to fill the south-east corner in? £5m?
Genuine question for someone who knows about these things.

Wolves have planned all the way up to 50,000 capacity. It's all over the hoardings on the site (which has SHIT health and safety. Literally anyone can walk on to the site where machinery is operating!) That will be 36,000 seats and 14,000 prayer mats. Wait until they put the dome on top and rename it Mosqueneux. Nice.....don't miss an opportunity for a cheap racist jibe.....hope there are no Muslim Stokies on the board.....apologies if there are....not all Stokies are as ignorant as this fella.

When we left the vic people were moaning that the Brit ONLY had a capacity of 28k, In reality a stadium of 15k would of been ample for the first 9 seasons there. We might not of been relegated in 98 if we had of built a 15k capacity stadium.

Why would a muslim get upset about the mention of a prayer mat or a mosque? Some people just look for an agenda. No wonder this country has gone soft with idiots like you.

I accept it wasn't blatantly racist but I still don't see why the comment was needed or how it could be seen as funny. Maybe I need to watch more Jim Davidson??

Jesus Christ!
OOps! Am I still allowed to say that in this country? Talk about sensitive. I don't know if you're a Muslim or not Foxy (I suspect not) but why are you arbitrarily deciding what is or isn't offensive to them? In a country where Muslims are allowed to (unhindered) disrupt Christian burials of British soldiers that have been killed whilst serving their country and to BOO their coffins in the street whilst their distraught reletives have to stand by and ACCEPT it.......
I would have thought Stafford's comments were well within the bounds of acceptability.
OR are there two different rules to be applied here?

It's somewhat akin to suggesting that Brighton might want to install butt plugs into the seats in their ground.
Ultimately both suggestions would be impractical to implement, though one much messier than the other.

Break my post down and point out where it is racist. ??? I'll explain it Stafford. Your joke was intended as a jibe at Wolves. The jibe was that the area has a lot of muslims. The implication being that it is undesirable to live in an area where there are a lot of muslims and/or mosques. That's the racist undertone.

OR....
Maybe he was referring to the fact that there is a huge Mosque with a massive golden dome right next door to Molineaux and he simply used that to make (what he thought) was an amusing comment on how to finish off the ground improvements. It's funny how the 'racist undertones' can always be found by those determined to find them.

Back to the point!
We need to keep progressing on and off the field and the next big project off the field should be the ground, starting with a new capacity around the 32k mark.
12 - 14k in a ground holding 28 or 32k will look wank regardless, however the extra revenue from 30k + crowds will be more than helpful and our av attendances can move closer to the teams we are directly competing with now, such as aston villa, everton etc.
