Guys... I just read all your comments here... Sorry, it's a football fans forum and now there is a full-scale war in my country, but I can't hold emotions, honestly. You are so great, guys, really. Thank you for thinking about us, for remembering me and all other friends here in Ukraine. The comment by Pricey about "cheap public transport" brought me back to 2011 and unbelievable atmosphere in Kyiv with lots of beers and fun and jokes before/after Dynamo-Stoke match. Our village in Devon has just sent its 3rd medical equipment and other assistance convoy to Uzhhorod Hospital. Ali Piper has been the main organiser raising £1000s and collecting much needed medical and everyday stuff for refugees, babies and injured people. Our local Ford dealer kindly loaned 2 transit vans which left on Monday packed out with equipment. Unfortunately Ali fell ill in Czechia and has had to be flown back but she is ok. The convoy continues to Ukraine border today Saturday 2nd July. The village is already gearing up for a 4th convoy in August. The fundraising website is here if anyone wishes to donate….. www.gofundme.com/f/plymouthukraine-medical-driveThe Plymouth Ukraine Medical Aid (PUMA) still provides assistance and have so far made 8 humanitarian trips and are currently on their 9th. right then oatcakers,,,i met up with DENYS and his family in Kyiv last week,,,what a guy he is.he acted as interpreter between us and the military unit we supplied two vehicles to. not only that he became our personal tour guide before we moved further east.you cannot believe the strain these people are living under but he and his family were there to help us.TOP MAN DENYS.  |

Thinking out loud & combining with a topic that has been going on during the Euros how about something along the lines of sorting a flag out for Den? Think of a Barmy Flags quality type item in Ukraine colours with "Kiev Stokie" emblazoned on it?
Hope its not seen as a daft idea or thread hijacking comment, but I personally would happily chip in towards it

I've watched the war everyday from day one and my heart goes out to Ukraine, I would love to donate to a Stokie "battle bus" , I aint got much to offer but if enough of us gave a few quid it would soon mount up. Anyway, if somebody has a link for such a thing I'd be truly grateful, I've got Ukraine stickers on my car and have donated to aid convoys etc. but if it was "Stoke related" that would be special to me and make me feel very proud. "Do it for Denys!" Slava Ukraini!

Having spent some time in Russia (before the current conflict obviously) I can honestly say Mr average Joe Russian is very little different from most of us. They want exactly what we want a prosperous and peaceful future. The problem is that the Putin inspired media are feeding the people these lies day after day and poisoning their minds against both Ukraine in particular and the west in general. I was in Nantwich a few months ago and there was a young ruSSian couple in the cafe where we were, I really wanted to tell them how much I despised them but being not that sort I actually got talking to them and asked them what they thought of the war and Putin. Replied that they had many, many friends and family in Ukraine and the whole of ruSSia know 100% what’s going on but it’s the mid to old generations that back Putin and agree with his stance and actively grass up younger people who don’t agree with Putin. |

How do I post a photo on here? I don't think Proboards allows any images to be uploaded so you need to use a hosted image already displayed on another website or via google search. 1. When you've found the image you want you'll need to grab the full url path to that image, 2. Right-click on the image and select 'Copy Image Address' 3. In the Create/edit post view click on the 'insert image' icon (7th in from the right), and paste the image address into the 'Image url' field provided and Bobs your Bocat...here is one i right clicked from the Sentinel  |
