Our village in Devon has just sent its 3rd medical equipment and other assistance convoy to Uzhhorod Hospital. Ali Piper has been the main organiser raising £1000s and collecting much needed medical and everyday stuff for refugees, babies and injured people. Our local Ford dealer kindly loaned 2 transit vans which left on Monday packed out with equipment. Unfortunately Ali fell ill in Czechia and has had to be flown back but she is ok. The convoy continues to Ukraine border today Saturday 2nd July. The village is already gearing up for a 4th convoy in August. Amazing. Simply amazing what you are doing, guys. Of course, we realise that the help goes from you, real 🇬🇧 people! Every single case is fantastic. Every story is unbelievable. We understand that it is your good will to help us. And I am 100% sure, all Ukrainians will always remember that British people standed shoulder to shoulder with Ukrainians in this tragic period of history. Sorry if my words sound too loud, but it is really historical moment for all humanity. Everything simple. Good stands vs pure evil. And there must be only one ending of this horror.

Great to hear from you. The vast majority of the British public are behind Ukraine and sending money and support one way or another. You will be amazed at the number of blues and yellow flags flying in the UK We have one in the square in Easingwold where we will "rockin' all over the wold" next weekend. They are also flying in neighbouring Boroughbridge. I doubt the UK will actually declare war on Putin the way we did against Hitler when he invaded Poland but the parallels are there to see. Another sleepless night in Kyiv due to another russian air attack.
We are super thankful to our Armed Forces defending all of us.
And we are super grateful to all our Friends supporting us and thinking of us.

i have been involved with a fantastic group of people from macclesfield who have been sending and delivering aid to ukraine for the duration....recently i was priveleged to be a part of one of their convoys of vehicles into ukraine and i hope to be on the next one.so checkout on facebook macclesfield ukrainian aid collection point,,,any donations or help will be appreciated. the work and effort these people have put in is staggering

Just scrolled back to when I joined the thread and asked about cheap public transport into the city centre. 20p each way for a knackered old bus but no one who spoke English, going dark on the way in and a crazy afternoon traffic bun fight which saw me arrive at the airport late for the flight only to find 100 Stokies still queuing to go through security. What an adventure that was.
Den is a bigger Stoke City legend than our last five managers put together.

The comment by Pricey about "cheap public transport" brought me back to 2011 and unbelievable atmosphere in Kyiv with lots of beers and fun and jokes before/after Dynamo-Stoke match.
Good times, happy days.
