How or where have you met or mixed with any footy player/s, and how did you find them to be. Did you find them quite down to earth and a good personality/character, or the complete opposite to what you'd expect?

I spoke to Kitson after the Everton game in our first premier league season. He was a really nice guy. Very quiet and him and his wife (with their little one) were keeping to themselves, his wife actually started a conversation with me before Kitson came into the players lounge and she was so lovely. I spoke to other players but if I go on I'll get abuse and people calling me a name dropper etc.

I've met Van Der Sar, sat on the same table as him at my aunties birthday party (my aunties son goes the same school as Edwin's son), I've also met Richard Cresswell on the car park before the friendly versus Real Vallodolid.

Met and spoke to David Kevan and Ronnie Sinclair a few years ago in Yates in 'Castle - seemed decent enough. Also spoke to Carl Hoefkins 2 years ago [when he was with the Baggies during our and their promotion season] as he was playing snooker on the next table to me in Rileys up 'anley duck! Again, he seemed a decent enough chap...pretty shit at snooker mind! And finally, used to live a couple of streets away from Vince Overson when I lived on Waterhayes.

I've met Pat Sharkey a few times in the local bar, he played for Ipswich along with Stan Bowles in the 70's. Always comes over for a chat about Stoke and always shows respect to the team we had then. Ipswich were a bloody dirty team then.

He got us special passes to both his testimonial match and the do afterwards at a hotel in liverpool. Needless to say there were a couple of ex-players there, eg. Barry Horne, Gary Ablett and...........Peter Reids brother! ;D ;D ;D

Spent a good 30 minutes talking to Andy Cooke at the bar in Brassingtons in Castle a fair few years back, most of the squad were in there, and spoke to a couple of the others in passing too, Andy was a sound bloke, it was while he was injured for about 4 months and was telling me all about his recovery and all sorts. James o'Conner was the only one who came across really up his own arse, nursed an orange juice with a face like a smacked arse for about 2 hours, barely spoke to anyone.

Bit of a weird one but my mum got chatted up by gavin ward a few years back! Took her to get a shirt and saw him at the desk on crutches and they had a good chinwag for about 20 minutes....took me to break them apart... Myself, bumped into Super James and Brynjar a few years back outside a bakery ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/KYqg3pYeaerc5lD_P7BR.gif) Brynjar is a real cool guy and Super James is your typical brilliantly loud but funny ginger ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/3zptH1h3SvRnVmRGLyMP.gif)

Been out on the piss with John Brayford who was at Crewe but believe he's gone Derby, knocks about with a load of my old mates, sound lad.
Also played with Ashton at Crewe in younger days and then also played against him. He was alright then nothing special but he turned out to be a decent player.
Had a chat with Pesch, met the ugly brothers (Nevilles)
Also have shared a few beers with forhead at Everton.
Spoke to Becks and Schmiceal or howver you spell it at a petrol station.
My crowning achievement is seeing Kevin Webster at a petrol station in a Toyota Rav 4 the big girl!
