Yeah him and Lukaku have both flopped. It's not good enough for any striker over 50 million. I expect 10 million to get you a striker that can put 9 goals in. They are supposed to be "world class" players, but the only world class strikers are Kane and Aguero. Not many world class strikers in the game full stop and in fairness they are unobtainable. £200 million is the going rate for someone truly world class. If you judge players by their price tag then use that as the benchmark of quality and scale down. In that sense £50 million probably won't get you 20 goals a season any more. No but it should get you more than 9.

If you're paying over 50 million for a striker then you expect more than 9 goals. Diouf would get 9 goals if he started every game for Arsenal. As crazy as it sounds, £50m isn't that much for a striker nowadays for one of the top clubs. That's the new going rate for a decent fullback at the highest level. Lukaku has only got 11 this season and he could end up costing £90 million! Yeah him and Lukaku have both flopped. It's not good enough for any striker over 50 million. I expect 10 million to get you a striker that can put 9 goals in. They are supposed to be "world class" players, but the only world class strikers are Kane and Aguero.

I disagree. It's about how you spend, and they spunked 50 million on Lacazette who has been a major flop, and now they've spent 60+ million on Aubameyang to try and fix the issue. 9 goals in 24 games would suggest otherwise, that's not a bad return at all for a striker in his first season in the league - he could easily make it 15 before the season is out. I don't see Aubameyang as a replacement for Lacazette, you need a full squad of top players to be able to compete these days unless you're incredibly lucky with injuries as Leicester were that season. He's more of a replacement for Sanchez if anything. Chelsea are suffering from the same problem too, Morata misses a few games and suddenly they go to shit.. If you're paying over 50 million for a striker then you expect more than 9 goals. Diouf would get 9 goals if he started every game for Arsenal.

People seem to have short memories. This is the kind of game that we would've thrown away with Hughes and it's a step in the right direction that we can shut teams out. I say well done to Lambert, but Hughes has put us in a right mess.

I wouldn't trust Liverpool to find Huddersfield's ground at the moment, never mind beat them. Yet I don't think Liverpool will have an easier win all season.

Or because Sane is out for 6 weeks. Surely you don't need to pay £50m to cover a 6 week injury though? Especially when you have Bernardo Silva? They're one of the biggest clubs in the world. What if Sterling gets injured? They want another winger for the right side.

Why would he drop Otamendi. City fans player of the season so far. He'll definitely drop Stones. Been absolutely shit since he came back from injury That's what I'm thinking. Can't see him dropping Otamendi.

Different leagues. Sanchez has much more to his game than Aubameyang. Sanchez is probably the best player in the league. Best behind KDB, Hazard & Kane to name a few. When De Bruyne starts adding more goals to his game. Hazard has been very inconsistent, but I really like Kane.

@froggyd Some interesting posts you made there on the other Ghost thread.
When I was younger I remember going over to a friends house to stay the night as he was home alone. It was a really old house where rangers used to stay at as there is a massive forest right outside.
We were in his room when a picture frame just fell off the wall. It was hanging on a solid nail so it was weird how it just fell off, with quite a serious bang as well.
As we were looking at the wall his disc tray on his xbox randomly opened and that's when we were creeped out.
About 20 minutes after all this, we were downstairs and he was letting the dog outside in the garden. We checked on him after about a minute and we noticed the gate to his house was wide open.
I went into the lounge and told him and he said he already checked out the back and saw the gate open as well. We both went back to the front of the house and now the gate was closed shut!
Couldn't believe it because the gate is completely locked shut and it takes a human to open it.
Also bizzare how quick it was open and closed. The dog was found 20 minutes later down the road near a canal. One of the strangest moments of my life with things happening that were unexplainable...

Not only that, but the roof looks slightly wonky as well. Still wish they made the seats look better in the Boothen as well.

Wouldn't have this in a Hughes training session I can tell you that. Yeah, you're right. In four and a half seasons under Mark Hughes, there wasn't a single day when the players had a lark and a laugh. Breaking: Davef doesn't understand sarcasm.

Is it so hard to have people transmitting information to the referees down on the pitch? If something has happened we should have information given to the referee from upstairs after 20 seconds after the incident.

I dish back what people dish out at me, you're the one taking offense when I mentioned nothing about you, and you're the one trying to act like I have nothing better to do when you're getting upset about me poking fun at two strangers on an internet forum. I don't troll, I don't have a fake identity, I'm winding people up sometimes, but it's usually me dishing back what's already been served up at me. Like I said ... Nothing better to do than winding people up on the internet ? Each to their own. Isn't that what you're trying to do to me now? I never even made a comment towards you.
