I think Cheshire and the North West isn't too bad to be fair. I certainly prefer it to the Brummie area and I lived down in south Staffs for a while. Not sure if I could live in Tunstall again though. Biddulph Moor or Rudyard maybe....

Which is a bloody shame considering the poor economic state of the city . A higher standard of football means more money that comes in . Is it balls a shame. It depends how narrow minded and biased you are .

Gills have still to play Rochdale and Millwall. Someone has to gain some pts in those games. Likewise SheffU and Barnsley. It is close to mathematically impossible for Vale to make the play offs. Vale also have to play auto promo contenders Walsall who happen to be Vale's bogey team. All 3 of their final games are against teams above them in the table. Which is a bloody shame considering the poor economic state of the city . A higher standard of football means more money that comes in .

To all you exiles out there ...not just abroad , but those of you who have lived outside the City limits for quite some time ...
Is it as friendly a city as we like to imagine or portray .?
I appreciate that there are many like me who lack the most basic of faculties ...(.may even wear a bag) ...but look fondly back in pride as to its reputation as being the "Friendly City " . A city that prides itself on making people welcome regardless of where they have come from .
Is it a truth or a myth ?

I dont wish to sound harsh or cruel , but when sfance decided to blight the population of the US in a similar fashion half the population of Newcastle under Lyme put at least a pound in the jar to ensure his safe passage .
A one way ticket of course ....I put £20 in , which was a weeks wages at the time .

Difficult in that respect , but very easy in others .
Given the the opportunity I would have had no hesitation . America has a lot more to offer than the UK . More space , better opportunities and a better quality of life .
just do eet...Your family can still come to visit .

Don't believe everything you read. I can't believe the article is still online, drogba has said he's taking legal action against them and fair play to him. It's probably still online because they are sure of their facts . That's doesn't prove the case against him , but dispersing the funds sooner rather later given the dire poverty in the region I would have thought to be a main priority . He doesn't necessarily have to rely on third parties to do this either and why has he not used the poor kids themselves , instead of Ian Wrights grandkid (as alleged ) in the photo's ...that's a bit of a strange one . .?

Shock horror.....millionaire footballer in tax evasion scam. There are other footballers who fund charity football schools in Africa that are very dubious. I suppose there must be others out there , but to make claims like this The Mail must be pretty sure of their story . But why haven't these other footballers "that are very dubious " come under the same scrutiny / investigation ? Surely we must not ignore them ?

I'm crap with heights - don't even like walking around castle walls. Have been up the Empire State and CN Tower and the only thing that bothered me was the glass floor in the CN Tower. I've also been up in a hot air balloon - was shitting myself before hand, but not a problem when I was up there. I felt similar when going up the Eifel Tower years ago ...Funnily Blakpool Tower never had the same effect on me It is much easier when you're pissed .....

What bothered me the most was going up the CN tower Toronto in a glass lift up the side of the building .....bloody terrifying . I think ink it was the tallest building in the world when first built . The skyscrapers below look like Lego blocks and people look like ants .! Theres even a glass floor ....but I couldn't manage it . Me legs were shaking . ! www.great-towers.com/towers/cn-tower/

I'm not sure what point if any you are attempting to make . Back then leaflets were essential ...today less so . Please enlighten us . My point was it has happened before, something which I assumed you didn't realise as you said "I never imagined that any government would resort to this". Maybe you did, and either I misunderstood your post or your post wasn't clear. Crossed wires ....I just think the educational and political system back then needed more assistance to explain the situation .... I don't think it's necessary these days , especially with all the modern technology most families possess and the fact that we have been in it for so long . It's blatant one sided propaganda now .

Reckless ....but more importantly "desperate" ...very desperate behaviour . I never imagined that any government would resort to this or more importantly be allowed to . One can only hope that the electorate will show their indignation and anger at such tactics and reflect on the last four decades , rather than the few months that lead up to the vote . The country is in a dire mess and they want to take us further down the road to catastrophe . Neither of the two main parties can be trusted ...that much is clear . Why a bloody shambles ... A Government had already resorted to this - the Wilson government at the last referendum. Interestingly his argument won, although who knows how much of it actually owed to the pamphlets he sent out. I'm not sure what point if any you are attempting to make . Back then leaflets were essential ...today less so . Please enlighten us .

You do have to wonder how we end up with these people running the country. To make a decision to spend £ 9 million on paper , (what about the environment) just for propaganda. On these times of austerity, the local hospital could have done with that money. Reckless irresponsible behaviour. If it was a business spending its own money it would go bust. Really sensible. What about making the message available on line, for those who feel the need to search for facts. ....not that the Government should be trying to influence the decision in this way, it is one occasion when the Government should simply listen to the electorate.
