I can understand the Hammers fans being disappointed with the style of play but to boo the team after a win is pretty poor, particularly as it puts them on the verge of Premier League safety.

I was under the impression that Wilko had signed an extension this year, or am I making that up?

Couple of comments in there that could be construed by the 'sensitive' as being a little barbed towards TP I thought so too. In general his comments could have come from any one of us. Shows at heart he's just a normal Stokie, who just happens to own the club. I do hope he intends to back LMH with funds in the summer though. We still need a striker, a replacement for Assaidi and possibly Matty too.

...and the daily Arsenal isn't exactly positive is it? If anything I'd say they give Arsenal more shit than us. Indeed, he's quite infamous (in his own mind perhaps) for criticising Arsenal, which is where the daily Arsenal came from. Agreed. Even when Arsenal were having a blinding start to the season and topping the league Durham was talking about how he'd reserve judgement until after the traditional Arsenal slump of Feb/March. Whadaya know, much as it pains me to say it he was right.

It's great the Ticket Office (I assume?) have at least done all they can for you. Hope you can sort it out. As for the "change in legislation" - Parroted phrase is now in danger of being over-parroted. Not a go at you, Red - But I don't suppose the nice lady mentioned WHICH legislation? Would be a big help if she did. No she didn't. And to be honest I knew nothing I said would of changed it so I just it go, I had some sympathy for her working in that ticket office. Think they are just told what to say and would of just been told if anyone had a problem contact the club I'd assume it's probably something to do with the new Consumer Credit License. There have been adverts about it on TalkShite for a couple of months now. Any business that wants to provide credit to consumers has to apply for a license, which I imagine has conditions and costs money to arrange. I'd guess this is probably why the club have ditched the 4 month payment plan as it my be classed as offering credit, even though it was interest free. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, most of that is assumption and educated guesswork so may be utter shite.

Are we not getting ahead oc ourselves just a little? Our form is fantastic at the moment and there is a real buzz about the place. However we have an away game af chelsea to get through Probably, feels good though don't it I imagine we'll come back down to Earth with a bump come the Chelsea match. Fairly confident of 40pts and confirmed safety by then though.

Was bound to happen. they'll all jump on the knicker wetting, book burning, racist bandwagon now. A case of mistaken identity is racist just because the two subjects are black? I think it's about time that people who should know much better grew the fuck up. SCHOLES OUT!

Irrelevant question. He would never be offered it. More likely that Fergusson would take it over until another manager was found. I could see this happening.

If Norwich don't rack up the points in their next 4 games they could be screwed. Their run-in is horrifying and that table doesn't bode well.

I was a big fan of Jose but 2nd time around he is looking like a right prat. The latest episode of his toys coming out of the cot is over Chris Foy sending off 2 of his players. Admittedly the Willian one was harsh but the Ramirez one was disgusting and if that had been a Stoke player there would have been uproar.I have always rated Chris Foy as one of the best referees and found him very fair. Probably it's because he is a ref that doesn't favour the big teams like Chelsea that he wants him banned from their matches. Jose you are becoming a joke. I said exactly this to a mate on Sunday. Nasty challenge. Compare that to CA's and they are plainly worlds apart. As for JM, he comes out with some crap but I think the PL is a better place with characters like him than without.

Walters is shit don't care what he cost he has cost us enough points this season alone we should be safe and he is the main reason we are not safe. He can't pick players up for example he never stopped Evra at old Trafford or picked up his runner at arsenal away. He cannot take easy chances and he even has a terrible record from the spot apart from his last two pens. His goal record is shit because he should be top being a penalty taker also he defended well against Chelsea last season with his two own goals all this bullshit the lad defends and works hard he hinders the team and is a liability. I would run round like a cart horse and fuck up like him if that's what people like for the money he is on he needs to fuck off back to the championship. I'm not certain but are you saying you don't think Walters is a good player? </joke>

It always used to have a picture of a semi-transparent dalmation on its hanging sign. I always used to think that Talbot was the name of some local ghost dog. I'm not sure if that sign is still there or not. In related trivia, right outside at the rail crossing (but before there were trains)there used to be a bull pit where people would gamble on the likely victors in a fight to the death between a giant angry male cow and several vicious dogs. A crap North staffordshire colloseum if you will. Maybe Talbot the dog was killed by some Taurean behemoth and his restless canine soul wanders perpetually between Victor street and the Cut.You may have to start speaking English mate. There's some on here that won't understand a word of that. Love the avatar btw.

Emailed talkSport asking what their opinion is of the Tweet, given Bidmead is an employee and taking into account their stance on the abuse that Stan Collymore suffered.

Giroud

Post by MuddyWoody on Mar 1, 2014 20:52:09 GMT
How I saw it - Giroud knocked the ball away as he was fouled from behind and slid onto his arse. As Charlie was coming in he was looking where the ball went and not at Giroud. Personally don't think he meant it as he just continued his stride. Adam probably didn't feel the need to acknowledge what he'd done because Giroud acted the cunt all game. As for the Pieters booking, didn't think there was anything wrong with that - ball won, wrong decision Sent from my GT-I9100 using proboards That is exactly how I saw it and exactly what happened.

If it wasn't a penalty for the handball then it was a penalty for the challenge, high and stopped SJW in his tracks blocking his run on goal with the ball.
So it's either a handball or professional foul, simples.

I'm not SJW's biggest fan, I'm still not convinced he's prem quality and his performances of late have not been great in my opinion, but credit where it's due he played very very well today.

Unfortunately outplayed in all three departments tonight. We lacked ideas and any kind of guile to try and get through them. The Ref didn't help, but couldn't be used as an excuse. Would have to agree with the above..................they showed us up in respect of skill and penetration as far as I am concerned. Whilst they mainly played the ball on the ground, which made sense to me, we seemed to rely on skying the ball and then chasing around trying to collect it , a tactic which was dubious given the windy conditions, imo.....not only that but it made us look slightly amateurish to me. We are very unpredictable this year and I am still very concerned by the fact that we perform badly against our relegation rivals. We should be doing better.
I agree, definitely cause for concern. Barring Bego and Ryan I thought everyone had an off day against Swansea. Arnie started brightly then faded, Assaidi was poor when he came on, Adam walked onto the pitch looking for a fight, Wingie went missing second half, Whelan was crap and SJW was, well, SJW. Highlight of the game for me was the withering "What the fuck ARE you doing" look that Arnie gave Dyer when he collapsed in a heap after Arnie took the ball off him in our area in the second half. Arnie almost put his foot on the ball and stopped play. Fucking pathetic. Sums up their diving, cheating antics.

Fact is he doesn't look anywhere near match fit or sharp. If he carries on like he did last night (his first touch was particularly woeful) he won't be getting much more game time for the foreseeable future.
Oh and........
