I like this guy and usually he talks a lot of sense but to claim the refs mistaken idendty is racist for sending off Gibbs instead of Chambo is just fucking ludicrous and does the anti rasism movement no good at all, if the ref confused two white players both with jet black hair would that be racism, yeah the ref fucked up but racism is as credible as that fruit cakes rants ref England captaincy and colour.
Sometimes this political correctness shit goes too far and to criticise makes you look bigoted but this is fucking crackers

They look very similar to me, one is more chubby faced, may just be the picture though. In fact I can't now remember which is which. Mind you white, bald middle aged men all look exactly the same to me too

I sat at home and watched the match on BT with my lad, and as we were having lunch at the time only saw the incident "at a glance". We knew it was handball, but I thought it was Ox, he thought Gibbs.
Does that make us racist? Does it bollocks.
Stan Collymore, stop falling into the Adrian Durham trap of being a Grade A attention seeking idiot, and get on with delivering your usual quality programmes.

I said it was racism as a joke! McManaman did exactly the same on the BT Sport show whilst at the game to Jake Humphrey the presenter.Collymore has gone down in my estimation tonight what a twat.

They all look the same to me.
Ox: Ref, it was me. Ref: Shut up Walcott or I'll send you off too.

I'm not sure it's racist but I can see where he's coming from. It's not like he sent off a white player. They're both a very similar complexion and I guess the ref just made a mistake.
It certainly doesn't make him a racist though and I'm surprised Collymore, who I find tends to be the voice of reason more often than not, has made such bizarre comments.

Saying they look the same isn't racist, apart from a chubbier face they're pretty much identical, Its the same with babies, impossible to tell them apart

Anyone remember Wenger giving a press conference after a game at Stoke (the year after the Ramsey broken leg) when he accused Ryan Shawcross of fouling the keeper? I think it was the same press conference where he accused us of being a rugby team. It was actually Huth who had given the keeper "close attention" not Ryan. Mistaken identity happens all the time in football as in other walks of life. Those who are playing the race card are talking rubbish - and I say this as someone who has a lot of time for Collymore.

Using the phrase racist quite a lot here and in the press elsewhere and everyone jumping on the bandwagon and getting all edgy as usual.
Did Collymore use that word? Don't think so. He just asked the question
I think his comment is far enough myself.

He just asked the question I think his comment is far enough myself. I didn't hear Collymore yesterday but I'm sure I have heard comment on other stations that he and others DID suggest that the ref might have been racist. Really you shouldn't ask if someone is being racist on a radio program unless you have some evidence to back the suggestion up. The chances are it was simple mistaken identity - and let's be honest - that happens all the time in all walks of life. And the subjects of mistaken identity can be black, white, brown, yellow or of any hair colour under the sun.

Was bound to happen. they'll all jump on the knicker wetting, book burning, racist bandwagon now. A case of mistaken identity is racist just because the two subjects are black? I think it's about time that people who should know much better grew the fuck up. SCHOLES OUT!

Collymore is a self righteous cunt from the same mode as Campbell. Use the black tag as a commodity rather actually doing any worthwhile campaigning. Quite frankly they are an embarrassing pair.
