If the refs view was obstructed why did he give a foul? Not a clue, you'd have to ask him, but if he's saying he didn't see it then it doesn't surprise me given there's a player in the way, maybe he was guessing but didn't see the full extent of the foul. If you watch it on the tv his view wasn’t obstructed at all, what he meant was he basically wasn’t looking where he should have been looking.

The last woods to play for us was Steven woods and he was utter shite. Steer clear. There must be a better old never has been knocking around somewhere The last wood to play for Stoke was Wimmer, like a log that won’t flush away . You can’t beat a bit of wood 😉 😂😂😂😂

You would if your wages were about to be doubled for the next four years ... If he stays at Brentford they could be tripled at the end of the season. Could be and would be are two completely different things though. He’s guaranteed to at least double his wages NOW if he comes here.

I just don't get this loan window. Why on earth would Brentford accept a loan with view to buy in January. Surely they just say, kiss it, and come back in January when you may bid for him. I suppose it depends if the player kicks up a fuss and says I want to go thinking there will be no deal in January if he doesn’t. He’ll then risk losing out on a big signing on fee, big wage rise and long contract. That’s without Brentford risking losing that amount if they say no to a loan.

Is this lad pissed, at the minute if I was a Brentford player I'd be nowhere near joining Stoke. P.S just call me Charlie Adam😂. You would if your wages were about to be doubled for the next four years ... 🔺THIS🔺

Hes going to become a squad player for 5 million - tragic. You can see straight away that he will never improve the way he plays, he has not got the ability to do so. Its a downward spiral from here. Only 3 years 10 and a half months left on his contract left though! Don’t forget with 12 months to go we’ll offer him another 12 months and then another 12 months 6 months later. It’s the Stoke way 🙄

Correct. We should be looking to get the ball to our wide players and get crosses into the box. I don’t buy into this ‘we have to lump it up the pitch because Crouch is playing’ rubbish. We can still play half decent football with him playing up top. To the extent that we have had any identity whatsoever this season I thought that getting it out to the wide players was what we were trying to do. Unfortunately it falls down because McLean can't either beat his man or cross and Ince look like a reluctant winger who would rather be playing at No 10. When Crouch comes on we revert to the old Shawcross sand wedge shot - which when Rowett says crouch will start I assume he means that's how we'll start tactically. God I hope not, or at least let Williams play that ball instead of Shawcross. He’s cant be any worse at it. Agree regarding Ince he doesn’t look happy at all in this team at the moment especially on Saturday. He’s now our only real creative outlet and as with Arnie I fear we’re not using him properly. Let’s face it we’re all over the place at the moment on and off the pitch, and until Rowett puts his faith in certain players and a formation and sticks to his guns then I fear it’ll be a long arduous season.

Pulis Mark 2 tactics. Can’t be watching that shit. Me personally neither. However, if it produces winning football which is the most important thing right now, then I’m up for it. It does go to show in some way though what a good footballer Crouch is, despite his limitations, that he has stuck around for so long and still scoring goals. I just wish we would play more to his strengths with crossed balls into the box and someone playing off him for knock downs. Correct. We should be looking to get the ball to our wide players and get crosses into the box. I don’t buy into this ‘we have to lump it up the pitch because Crouch is playing’ rubbish. We can still play half decent football with him playing up top.

for me rowett needs to get bojan in the team and give him a run of ten games.he is our most creative player he can make things happen. we have the players they just need to be played. I feel that he doesn’t really rate Bojan and doesn’t think he’s physically strong enough for the Championship. He said as much on Saturday as to why he left him out. Load of bollocks if you ask me. Besides Gallagher’s assault on Allen they weren’t a particularly strong and physical team were they.

He won’t walk, but I’m sure he’s feeling the pressure already. To get booed off the pitch in your first home game as manager isn’t good and shows the feeling of discontent around the place. God help us if we don’t win Wednesday.

So Bauer seems to be the latest whipping boy on here after two iffy games in a new formation, with a new set of instructions, and new colleagues in front of him. This after being one of our best players in the prem. He has earned a run and deserves better. He looks to get up there and support the attack, if we didnt subsequently lose possession all the time it wouldn't be an issue. On other threads some of the same posters are moaning about our lack of pace!. ffs! I hope he doesn't read this garbage and start sitting back, afraid to go forward against the likes of Rotherham. Sure we have issues but it's ridiculous on here. Whilst I agree with you regarding him being slaughtered on here by some, his main job in a back four is obviously to defend first and foremost. At the moment he isn’t doing that very well. Never mind bombing forward recklessly like he’s been doing in these first two games, concentrate on defending and helping your fellow defenders first. He has in reality looked all over the place (much like our whole defence............and midfield for that matter) 😉

Is Rowett answer a new starting eleven.? I am beginning to think this myself. The lingering stench of relegation is still in, it seems, ALL the players that were involved in it last season. Not one of them has started well in the opening two games and the longer this goes on the more Rowett will see these players as the problem. Maybe Rowett sees it as the only way of sorting it out.

Susan Brown's got a flat chest For twenty years she's been wearing a vest
32AA as against 32DD support --- It probably didn't work anyway but defo doesn't if you have to spell it out !!
You've well and truly lost me I’d give up daveandeddy 😂

Usual health warning with any Turkish report, but.... One Turkish report claiming we've agreed to loan him for a season to Galatasaray for no loan fee if they pay all his wages. That would be an absolute piss take. Just shows the mess we’ve gotten ourselves into doesn’t it? Seems we’re that desperate to get these players off the premises at any cost!

Like others here I find it very odd that Cameron wasn’t considered a fairly important player in current circumstances. The only logical explanation is that he wants to go. Charlie in theory is just what we need - someone who can pick a pass and can chip in with a few goals. Problem is it doesn’t look like the opposition are going to give him the time to do it! Regardless of the fact that he’s burnt his bridges with the club, Adam is the only midfielder we’ve got at the club with any vision whatsoever. Shame he’s 5 years too old now as well.

They are suddenly 4-1 favourites to win the title. On the back of two results, an overreaction if ever there was one. You could argue the same with us being made favorites before even a ball was kicked.

Bit surprised Cameron has been told he can leave, especially with how poor we’ve been in midfield defensive wise. They must have someone in mind for that role. Not surprised with the others to be honest.

Or just make it a loan with an option to purchase in January? I don't understand why these things are always left to the last minute. That might be it. But of course Swansea will have to agree to that. And people slagging the club off over this. They'd be the first tapping furiously on their keyboards if we paid £6m and Clucas never played a game with a problem we'd found during the medical but ignored. I think most people are moaning because we went in for a player who was injured and won’t be playing for weeks, instead of looking for someone that could come straight into the team. Also surely an injury that has required surgery in the last couple of months or so would be difficult to judge so soon?

Wasn't he rumoured to be going there last season? Surprised it hasn't happened, to be honest. From the Guardian: 2h ago 13:08 Louise Taylor Rafa Benitez’s mood is said to be darkening by the minute after he has been thwarted in repeated attempts to reinforce Newcastle’s squad. A bad moment came when Swansea rejected a bid for Federico Fernandez, apparently well below their £10m validation. Benitez, of course, worked with the Argentinian centre half at Napoli. Better news is that the deal could still be resurrected and a compromise reached but Newcastle’s manager is resigned to making do without the No 10/extra forward he craved and has also been frustrated in attempts to sign cut price left-back cover for Paul Dummett. He wanted Stoke left-back Erik Pieters, among others, but the St James’ Park board told him Pieters and the other candidates did not fit their “profile”. Newcastle like to sign players aged 26 and under with decent sell-on potential. Could be an interesting press conference tomorrow. Signing players aged 26 and under with decent sell-on potential. What a stupid idea. They obviously haven’t got a clue up there in the North-East. They need to see how it’s done by Scholes and Cartwright. Idiots.

Hopefully all the deadwood wages have took a % hit on relegation and now their wages are more affordable for other clubs. Hopefully each deadwood player will want to move on to try play more regular knowing that they could get similar wages elsewhere and not sit on a bumper premier league wage. But this is Stoke and player wages been cut on relegation clause is probably been missed on most contracts. With regards to Berahino, I’d loan him to a league 1 or 2 club and pay 90% of his wages, just to get him out of the building for 12 months.

Meanwhile Leeds are set to sign an actual defensive midfielder ...Besic ...from Everton for 4 million quid today Who because he is 25 , will be worth more than 4 million , if he has a decent season and Leeds get promoted Why exactly can't we sign players like Barry Douglas and muhamed Besic , for 3 or 4 million , whose value will rise , if they play well ? I genuinely don't get it Incredible really. I think everybody on here would have unanimously welcomed Besic. It's all very odd what's going on down at CW. It’s not. It’s par for the course.

So, we're signing a bloke just entering his peak footballing years, neat & tidy on the ball, likes to get stuck in, plays in two positions we need (CDM & LB) sounds like just what we need. Oh, no, hang on a minute, I've just read the last few pages & it turns out he's absolute shit, not what we need at all, the manager is a prick. Well, that's it. My opinion is formed & I shall not be changing it no matter how he does for us. You forgot he’s injured as well 😂
