There, I said it, I'm proud of the ginger one, Defonately should of scored and was extremely unlucky not too, His positioning was class, Just needs to learn how to jump more and get his shots on target and we'll soon see his first goal for Stoke ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/KYqg3pYeaerc5lD_P7BR.gif)

Ran his socks off today.
Was the first line of defence.

he had a pretty decent game, still gets moved off the ball like a rag doll, and during strong challenges , seems to try and get a foul (and mots times he doesnt) instead of working harder toget the ball thru

I think that was his best game for us so far, very unlucky not to score, especially with that header late on.

Hard work today against that defence, but he gave it a go and looked a threat.Needs a run of games to get sharp

I thought Kitson looked well-short of sharpness tonight, but did indeed give it his best shot. He was very unlucky not to score with that header though.
He'll be the greatest beneficiary of Etherington's arrival if he can get his fitness up and his ginger bonce on the end of a few crosses.

His attitude today was superb, ran his socks off and desperately unlucky not to get a goal. It will come, he wants it to work out.
He was short of sharpness due to recent injury.

Second half I was very impressed, although he never turned up first half. Think the Times reporter is a bit harsh saying his finishing looked as though it was off Hackney Marshes.

Just happy he got himslef involved, if that was his first game for the club I think you'd say he's gonna work out.

how he clapped the crowd on his way off made me think that he's settling a bit now...if we can tread water this season, and heed our lessons along the way - i believe we'll be on fire next year....IN THE PREM!!!

Today he did the things for me that Fuller doesn't. When Fuller is knocked to the ground he sits there arms outstreched which is the one big things that pisses me off about him. Kitson kept getting back up and working for the ball and nearly got his reward. I fine performance today, hs best in a Stoke shirt.
Keep it up Dave.

I have to agree that today was probably an improvement on his previous pretty poor performances, but when will he learn how not to be outmuscled in a challenge. You don't see Mama or Ric pushed around as easily as Kitson.

It was hard today for dave, but i thought he did well. He'll score soon i;m sure. And coming back from injury and up against Hyppia, its going to be hard especially with winning nothing in the air.

wasn't impressed with him in the first half..
half hearted chases, no tackles and throwing his arms about in frustration. don't think he will last long.

I totally agree...He was distinctly average at best, a man short of confidence and ideas.I thought his performance stood out as the worst by a country mile.I asked my assembled guests as to their thoughts..(Non Stokies) and they were less than enthused. One commented on his lack of work and the other on his lack of goals and touch. All in all the verdict was quite damning. In short, the sooner he leaves the better. The writing is on the wall.

I always want the best for Stoke and the players the club invests in. Indeed he had a decent game even though we still perhaps didnt cater for his needs/style of play.
However, I reckon he will be gone very soon if not at the end of the seaon/in the summer. It is a fact he hates it at Stoke and not many I know at the club like him and the feeling is mutual.
I reckon it will be a case of gathering as much as Stoke can for him and take a hit on the outlay on him!!
Not being negative - just factual???!!!

I thought he worked hard enough but he still isn't a patch on Mama or Fuller. How many times does he get out-muscled when playing back to goal, when we need him to hold it up?! How many times does he lose flick on headers with players running in behind him?! Mama wins all of those and makes us better because of it. He'll never beat anyone 1on1 like Riccy does either. For me, he isn't good enough in those areas of his game to fit in right now. With lots of pass and move players / style of play he'll do better, and I am sure he would do better with better service regularly, but at this moment he just doesn't suit us. My hat goes off to him for putting in a shift after being frozen out a bit before his injury, but when Mama and Fuller are back, or Beattie comes in, he will be back on the bench.

He a clever lad is Kitson, and I hope for both him and the club that he leaves as soon as possible.I wish the guy no malice, but on the evidence of half a season....No...He's got to go, that is very obvious.

Fraid he's just not a Stoke player, not enough "commitment" to the cause. He looks distinctly disinterested at times and seems to run away from the ball-carrier, when his support is needed.

For once I agree with mumf comments. We have spent £5 million and still no goals. I think my old man has more pace. Does not suit Stoke's style of play. I hate to see him not run his socks off ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/7TTgAtwUz19SBi0cvrCX.gif) Time to get rid.
