Paddock, paddock, sort 'em out!
Remember against Wolves one year. Me and two ther mates walked into the paddock about 20 mins before kick off singing oh wanky wanderers with hand gestures in the air and got pulled out straight away before the match had even started! Got left in them little cells in the paddock for the rest of the game!

We used to go in the Paddock right next to the tunnel (We would be on the left as the players ran out) Still see some familiar faces, animal etc - Happy days though!
It was right behind the away 'dug out' which led to some interesting conversations with opposition players and management!

Boothen Paddock was the best place in the old Vic! Some of those guys could even clap their hands together! Loved the way the sound used to start in the Boothen End and then spread along the paddock. Used to make me laugh when the stewards used to stop young kids sitting on the wall. " Leave 'em alone pedophile!" ;D

Ah, the Boothen Paddock (Boothen Side).
Never been the same since, great bucnch of lads, (you know who you are).
Too many memories to mention but a few highlights, like the day they brought Wolves through the Paddock after they'd got forced out of the Boothen, utter bedlam.
The vicious abuse, and often rapier like wit, that we greeted opposing subs as they warmed up in front of us, my personal favourite being Ricky Otto for Birmingham being serenaded with "Ricky was a bank robber!" to the tune of the Clash "Daddy was a bank robber". Only for him to mime the actions of pulling a gun on us!
The day Peschisolido nearly fell into the Paddock whilst playing for Birmingham, the look of sheer horror on his face as the lads in the Paddock surged forward to "greet" him.
Denis Wise being greeted with constant shouts of "Taxi for Wise!" after his court case for assault.
Knocking the advertising hoardings over and ending up dancing on the pitch and in the face of Man City players after we'd scored the winner. Hopefully a good omen for today.
Happy days!

I was evicted from the Boothen Paddock by two uniformed police officers when we beat Leeds 7-2 just before Xmas 1986.
Lee Dixon had just put us 3-0 up in the 20th minute and I was in dream land. Not sure I did a lot wrong, perhaps a rather over zealous celebration in the direction of the Leeds fans and joined in a rendition of "come in a taxi" and next thing I knew I was being "interviewed" in that control tower they had at the corner of the Stoke End and the Boothen paddock.
Probably didn't help that I was a little the worse for 6 lunchtime pints in Uncle Toms Cabin.
Happy days...!

Used to stand by the barrier under the first "N" in the yellow "Sentinel" stand. Always the same faces, felt like friends even though never even knew most of their names.

In the early 80s, there seemed to be a sort of rivalry between the Boothen End and the Paddock. ???
Not really sure what it was all about - anyone care to enlighten?

Not really sure what it was all about - anyone care to enlighten? yes there was rivalry, suppose the paddock attracted younger crazier types, the boothen was a bit more reserved full of middle aged twats

"Was that Pat's helmet I saw flying through the air?!". "He'll be owrate" EDIT: And GuernseyDave ... those were the days

Guernsey Dave-his helicopter is devilishly expensive to run in this day and age, what with the cost of fuel and everything.
Though I'm sure from that mansion on high-he is looking down on us and smirking.

I recognise the guy in the white polo shirt, Mark or something like that? Spent a few seasons in the Boothen paddock with the Talke Pits/ Kidsgrove lot, remember Wolves coming round at the end of one game trying to get to the boothen when the big gates opened, they never got in as the paddock spotted them.

I was in the Paddock when L'pool & Everton(FACup) came in 84. Wolves last match of the season when we beat them 4-0. The coppers came in to try calm us down. They left, minus their helmets. Got on the pitch wearing my union jack jacket & ran to Foxy, asking him for his shirt. He said no & stuck his finger up me @&$e!!!

Oh the paddock days were my earliest and fondest! My old man (RIP) used to stand about a third away from the away end (in the town end) and I used to walk down the front to the left of the away dug out by the bit sectioned off for tv cameras. (which was more for security as very rarely was there a camera there) Amazing memories. Particular highlights include sherons goal against Charlton for the 7 in 7 goal record and chucking half my pie at Robbie Williams when he arrogantly walked (which quickly turned into a run) past the paddock! In fact every game was a highlight! Imagine these days leaving your kid from half 2 till 5 out of sight in a football ground! The stewards would be calling social services!
