Hopefully block 38 won’t have to move, if so not sure I’ll be going back. How’s the policing going to work got two sides off fans to sort out a family stand one side, at least they might engage with the fans to see what’s best.

Yes I was told this about the away fans moving the other week but the usual suspects on here didn’t believe me🤷♂️All I can say is it’s about time I dunno yes you are right about the location of away fans it should never have been done that way but changing it now could just upset people and change the balance in the ground, look at the issues vale have had since moving the away fans Plus I really like my seat and the view from it The original away fans location was down to access in and out and policing advisory issues.

The amount of moaning & confusion around this change is hilarious. I wonder how some of you lot manage to get out of bed & get dressed in a morning.

I struggle with the dressing bit That's what Heff dressing gowns are for I understand some being a bit grumpy having to move, had to do it in the old Stoke some games as a kid but makes sense

I think this is a positive move, the only concern is that the family stand will abut against the away end. That doesn’t affect me anymore but I would have been a bit apprehensive if it did and probably moved over to the West.
Hopefully this works well and we can in due course have licensed standing at the back of the Boothen too.

Yes I feel for fans like yourself that have to move mate but I think moving the away fans has been a priority for years and as another thought the facilities in the corner are top notch with them being new, i hope im not going to be fobbed off with shit facilities in the old away end yet we are going to give away fans the newest area of the ground with the most space etc etc, even the newest fucking seats fuck it, its a bad idea im well against it I sat in the new corner against Brum and was shocked at how bad the seating was I had to sit sideways, the away fans are welcome to them. The facilities were very good tho

Personally like that the club are finally listening to the majority of the fans and actioning it. Now they just need to let us vote on the starting line ups and signings😉

block 31 at the moment so don't need to move
but the chance to legally stand will be the decider for me

Is there a reason supporter's impacted by this are criticised as "moaners"?
Surely a consultation is to receive all views and it would not be expected that 100% of people agree.
Isn't this a forum to express opinions?
As I've said elsewhere on this thread, on the face of it this make my match day experience poorer (who would have thought that possible?!).
I have 5 tickets in the family stand in block 33. Myself, my Dad and 3 kids. The extra walk (whilst not major) is an inconvenience and adds time to getting in and more importantly getting away.
I don't want my kids exposed to the stupid shit that happens by the away end.
Also, disappointing that the only people who appear to have been invited to the consultation event are those whose seats need to be move. Despite the fact it impacts on others too.
I'll await the anticipated criticism for daring to voice a contrary opinion.

Whilst having fans behind both goals seems a good idea in principle, there are definitely some negatives to this. Family Stand next to away fans is never good so should just be moved to the other side. Spreading people across the South Stand seems like saturating the support rather than increasing the atmosphere - that will only work if full and given how this season has gone I can’t see attendances increasing.
It will be interesting to see if people want to move from the Boothen End and how take up will be in the new areas. Ultimately there can only be 1000(?) or so in the South Stand currently so they will need a load of people to move to meet their main goal of increasing the atmosphere.

My secondary thought after my own was the family stand, it can get rowdy with away fans and missiles being thrown those that stand there choose too and know what can happen, obviously it’s nothing like the old days, wouldn’t be exposing young Miss flea79 too it

Overall in favour of the changes, but why not "licensed standing" in the Boothen End too? Already our "home" end has lost a significant amount of atmosphere with so many relocating to the new corner, this move will likely turn the Boothen into a reflection of the Franklyn Stand, complete with sarnies, flasks and rugs We face the very real danger of re-creating the current situation, in an almost mirror image

The details may be annoying to some but in principle I think this chimes with the sentiment expressed on here and elsewhere for decades - it's crap having away fans by the tunnel. If the building work and segregation can be done to a high standard, that's ace. Having some safe standing will also be good. I'm nearly 60 but I still prefer to stand at footie. i think its a shit idea, lets give them the newest and best facilities in the ground while the rest of us forced to move will fuck off into a grotty old away end the corner seats are shit, way to small, so not sure why you think they are getting the best, seems like they crammed has many seat has possible in that corner
