Wish the safe standing was at the back of the boothen, The atmosphere has always been better coming out of the boothen imo Not block 19 area it hasn't..alot of that area of the ground don't know their own name let alone being able create an atmosphere after spending most of the pre match in the bogs shoving shit up their nose and doing the same at half time. Not far off that in block 22 tbh hahaha, i was refiring to back in the day more than nowadays

No mention of the family stand. Hopefully they would relocate that away from the away fans. I would have moved the away fans to the main stand in the block nearest the Boothen and had their coaches in part of the west car park and made the current away car park for either corporate hospitality or disabled.

I'm very curious to know how they're going to keep home and away fans seperate on their approach to that corner. Away fans to the left and home fans in the Tile Mountain Stand to the right - all down one path. I can't see how they're going to do it without diverting Home Fans the long way round. Or down the path by Gordon Banks' statue.

About time.
Those in 36/37 will just shunt across I would guess.
The family stand will stay the same I'm guessing losing a block so there is a buffer.
Block 10 is going to have a family section too it says on the website.
Good move this.

Seems well thought out to me. South standers will just shift along a couple of blocks.Lots will move to the standing area that is all the South Stand. Should help the atmosphere. Never please everyone. Seems the South Stand will become the main end now .

It's not difficult.

27 years later, and still addressing the problems of the ill-thought-out, bodge-job of a stadium. When the whole point of building from scratch was to have a clean slate to get it right.

We were skint, it was built on the cheap Jez Moxey style with nothing in the budget for well thought out plans...........

Good to see the club giving this some thought, so credit to all involved.
My only concern is spreading our home crowds even more thinly - if that’s even possible - by dispersing the South Stand supporters across a whole end rather than a couple of blocks.
Appreciate we’re hoping for a return to top tier football and regular full house but at the moment one of my main gripes is that we don’t have one (relatively) full end of the ground to build some momentum towards.

I can see the boys in blue and their 4-legged assistants being on stand-by for a few games as well.

I’d imagine the stewards would become even stricter regarding fans standing at the top of the Boothen and that many would relocate to the South, so the South (at least the standing part of it) would be near to if not full capacity.

The details may be annoying to some but in principle I think this chimes with the sentiment expressed on here and elsewhere for decades - it's crap having away fans by the tunnel. If the building work and segregation can be done to a high standard, that's ace. Having some safe standing will also be good. I'm nearly 60 but I still prefer to stand at footie. i think its a shit idea, lets give them the newest and best facilities in the ground while the rest of us forced to move will fuck off into a grotty old away end I'd imagine that the concourses would be jazzed up. The ones that are currently in the 'away' part of the South Stand are proper grim.

Yep had email about moving I'm block 36, i have been a supporter of safe standing and was in favour of it when we were asked so can't have it both ways so will move further along, only disappointment is losing the nice new corner concourse but hey ho..

I enter turnstiles 29-32 and have always walked down the path that takes you down to the satellite office. It’s a slight inconvenience for those coming from power league / cricket club / Stanley Matthews way but it’s not that much and if there’s stairs built as previously mentioned or even spur paths, it’ll be even less. Stokies are so scared of change at times😂

Admin needs to add a "Nott1 hates this" option to this thread, he'll be along shortly I'm sure and dislike just isn't strong enough for him. I would insist that every single person not in this section who stands gets banned for life!
