There won’t be a single Stoke fan in the ground expecting to walk all over QPR. Why not? We sit in silence expecting to win every other home game. No we don't. If you do, that says more about you than the majority.

I think people are too worn down to produce anything special and whip up any kind of atmosphere.
It may come if we start well. Taking the lead would guarantee a good 5 minutes.
Small away following and midweek fixtures are normally pretty dire affairs though. Probably about 15k in the stadium.
Only the Leeds game was different, and that was a big away following, and we still had small remnants of belief.
I'd love it if we could go one last time to the well - and somehow conjure up a firecracker of an atmosphere, and will it into existence - because tomorrow is the biggest game for years and years.
But it's hard to do once the fanbase is furious and is looking for a fight.

Why are they the only alternative? Who do you see wanting to buy the club? As I say in our position it's either very rich foreign owners who want to get a Premier club for the money or we have to start somewhere near the bottom of the pile and build patiently. Can you think of an alternative to that. It was interesting last week that the Coates family are the third highest tax payers in the country but also that they are only the third richest owners in the Championship. Rich owners with no interest in the club and area other than financial far out way rich owners who want to ensure the club's future. Some like Chelsea and Man City hang around for a while but look at Chelsea to see what happens when a rich owner who has just thrown money at a club, lumbering them with debt and a huge wage bill and staff, walks away. And they are a London club, not one stuck in the back waters of the Midlands. I would say look at Derby, Blackburn etc if you want to see what rich owners can do to a club like Stoke. As I stated in the rest of my post, the way forwards to me would be for John to step aside in the day to day running of the club, appoint a CEO and a sporting director and then allow them to run the club whilst the Coates fund it. The problem lies in that it doesn't seem that's something they're willing to do, so we're just going to keep on spending fortunes and being shit. It's never going to change until there is a systematic change at the club, be it with the Coates or without them. Surely that, we can agree on?

I wouldn't say couldn't wish for better but I don't see how disinterested owners living miles away, loading the club with debt in an effort to get us in to the Premier would be better. That's if we could find anyone who wants to buy us and has money to invest. It's easy to look at the success stories like Brighton, Luton and Brentford, even Plymouth and Ipswich but they started from a much lower point than we are currently. Why are they the only alternative? For me we're at the stage where the family should own the club but not run it. John needs to step down as chairman or appoint a CEO who then has a sporting director running things. Let the Coates fund but someone else run, someone who knows what they're doing. We can't afford to keep letting John fall for bullshitters like Tricky Ricky. Why would they want to fund it and not run it though? It would be like buying a Ferrari as a plaything and then getting someone else to drive it for you.

You would have thought it would be a cheap ticket game with kids off. Kids £1, adults £10. Just fill the ground up. Get the atmosphere going. (Apologies if it is. Can't be bothered look🙂)

Oohhhh...for the light show
Burn them all after QPR take the lead
It's all JC's fault on here ..he should sack himself
Bayern gloating that he predicted relegation despite the fact he does it every season
If only we still had Tymon..he was amazing
The club is rotten even though it doesn't actually mean anything
F- CK the Coates family off - not sure how it works but do it anyway
I'm too fat for the concourses so they should should rebuild the stadium
The usual

What atmosphere are we expecting on Wednesday?
Balloons, party string and a giant disco ball above the pitch. That should set the mood.

Most people are on a downer when they read the team sheet . It does wear you down going and losing every week. Especially the way we lose, poor squad ,poor season hope we stay up.

Yep, guarantee that's how it's going to be on this mb if it goes in that direction. Otherwise if we win - instead of the usual over-the-tops screaming that we're going to "piss the league," for most of us it 'll be a huge sigh of temporary relief until the next match. Am really hoping that we are hearing the latter after this match. Oh and don't forget "If only there was a station at the ground" "fill in the corners" and somebody blaming Kitson. This place wouldn't be the same without these "traditions." The Coates have made mistakes (duh) but f*cking them off in favor of the latest Hugo Chavez, Sheik Yerbouti, or Kim Jung Il would be stupidity on a thermonuclear level. The problem isn't the owners - it's that rung between them and the Manager which is missing that caped crusader - Football Man. (Not to be confused with Florida Man, who is always being arrested)

If it's toxic from the start, jeering backward passes etc. then there is 0 hope of a positive result. If the crowd gets behind them and it's yet another gutless performance then the players are fair game.

Quite simply the fans have to try and do their bit and get behind the team.
It’s a massive game & pretty much a must win game (definitely a must not lose game). The players need as much help as possible, as we’ve seen just how hopeless they can be for the vast majority of this season, so as much assistance as possible is needed.
Fingers crossed we can get an early goal, as it will help ease any tension from the players and fans.
I dread to think what the atmosphere will be like if we go a goal or especially 2 goals down.
I was there against Blackburn on Saturday & we were awful, particularly in the first half. The chants from the fans hopefully may have motivated a few of them & they are willing to prove us wrong.

I really dont want to think about going behind, I just hope we scrape a result one way or another....... I would like to think we will behind the team whatever happens, but we all know that wont be the case if things dont go to plan. I just dont think Schuey deserves it.... he needs time and support from everyone to stamp his mark and make it work. We went to the relegation wire during TP's first tenure.... look how that ended-up. And for those that want to oust our owners, hang your heads in shame. We could not wish for better, regardless of the position we are in. So if we are relegated to league one despite the owners billions, you're saying we couldn't wish for better owners? Makes sense. That is exactly what I'm saying and yes, it makes sense.... I'm not saying that owners don't make mistakes, in fact, football is a game of mistakes. Those that make less mistakes, usually do better...... Given the resources available and their undoubted loyalty, to oust the Coates family would be the most disastrous move in the clubs entire history. I have to believe that eventually, those mistakes are realised and put right.

Real nerves in the stands. Players will be shitting themselves. Some players wont give a fuck. Will be a tough night. Depending on the score line it could be a horrific evening.
