Every single one of them should take a bow, absolutely quality performances all over the pitch. At times it was difficult to know just actually which one was the top ten Premiership side. At the end of the day, their unquestionable individual superioty won the day but we genuinely played some great stuff at times and didn't let ourselves down whatsoever. Not convinced that "everyone" should take a bow mate. Mcnally was dreadful when he came on. Haksabanovic did his usual impression of a wank Peter Beagrie. Wesley put himself about but has got to be the wankest Brazilian footballer to ever have played pro football. We competed well overall against a really good side, but not all our players should come in for unequivocal praise in my opinion, cuz they're not good enough for the level we are playing at, never mind where we want to be. I think that the game got away from us when Big Wes went off - he was giving them something to think about all match, and then we lost all impetus when Lowe replaced him.

Hoever is awful mate, I agree. His positional sense is dogshit and players go past him as if he's a fucking hologram. He was tragic today. Even when he was the right centre back he was 5 yards at least ahead of the other two. It was honestly one of the worst individual defensive displays I’ve seen. I thought it was Hoever’s best performance in donkeys and playing the CB role he actually seemed to have more license to get forward which he did to good effect. I thought he was close to MOM personally.

As I was saying yesterday, I just don’t think McNally is a particularly good player

The defence were appalling but they were against a good side. Hoever really shouldn’t be playing for us. He was truly atrocious today. Enjoyable game though. And we gave it a good go. He was very good until the reshuffle. At RCB? He was never in position.

He was very good until the reshuffle. At RCB? He was never in position. Until the Rose injury we were comfortable and had good shape, Hoever was bringing the ball out and playing some lovely passes. It all turned to rat shit after the reshuffle. Hoever was superb in the position he started the game.

If we have expectations of playing in the Premiership again,we need a complete new defence, this defence frightens me to death, the amount of times they give the ball back to the opposing side when under pressure is criminal.
Plus they are suspect to any pace,no good us scoring 2 or 3 goals,if we end up letting in 3 or 4.

I was very pleased with everything overall. It was the defending that let us down mainly, but sometimes the quality of opposition just shines through. A couple of the goals were just poorly defended.
The system looks great, the players look rejuvenated and we didn’t look to just stop them scoring, we tried and it worked. The Leris sub first half seemed to do a lot of the damage, because whatever we were doing down that side with him and Hoever was just working. The replacements were fine but nothing matched what we were getting before Leris went off.
Good game, nothing to be ashamed of and another positive performance. We could have played safe and tried to limit them without being a threat ourselves, but we stuck with the approach and gave them a good game.

Good game for us I think. The only thing that's worrying is the lack of goals from open play. 0 today as well.
I agree MccNally and Wesley were pretty poor today, but the opposition were top class. Hope it doesn't scar McNallys confidence too much.

Oh absolutely he should have mate, and who was the other muppet who along with DJ contrived to miss that beautiful cut back from Bae in the centre? Absolute certain goal and they left it for each other. Just thought that they visibly relaxed when Wes went off and we never got another sniff.

Happy enough with us today but I don't know if I have ever seen a more useless waste of a Jersey than Weskey,he actually cleared one of our better attacks When I saw him trying to take the pen I feared for people in the Boothen.

Spot on. Competed well, just a massive gulf in class. There was a time when we were the Premier League team and they came up here and we coasted to a 3-0 win, think it was the season we reached the final. there wasn't a massive gulf in class. The difference is in attack only.

Thought we played well , the manager went for it, never any thought of a defensive display They’re a top 10 Prem side and in the end it showed. Some solid performances, notably Burger and Junho That type of display will see us in the top 6 eventually Exactly this… my only concern is our inability to score goals from open play with the chances we create. The performance in general I am more than happy with. Brighton are a very good side & were clinical. If SS can get us playing like that in the league & putting our chances away then we will soon be top half of the championship.

If we play like that every week, we'll have a very good chance in every game of coming away with all 3 points.
We look a totally different side nowadays in a relatively short space of time.

Absolute certain goal and they left it for each other. Just thought that they visibly relaxed when Wes went off and we never got another sniff. That was Daniel Johnson who was awful today. We had two very easy chances we missed today at key times. Wesley had a free header from 8 yards out and should have headed across the keeper, Johnson and haksa got in each other's way and stopped a certain goal. If we'd got either one of those the game would have been very different. Johnson was at fault for their goal when he didn't go out to face up to the player putting in the cross. He was awful

For all the positive mood music, we still haven't scored a non-pen/OG home goal since October 21st.
Which takes some doing

We are attacking and I think it’ll come. Like what the fuck were Johnson and whoever the other 2 were for that pull back early on in the second half? Fucking shameful but once players play in the system week in week out and know each other that hopefully to God has to change.

Disagree. They were better in every single position on the pitch mate. I totally disagree Their defence coped with our attack much better than our defence coped with their attack. So that's two areas on the pitch that they bettered us in. Their midfield played well, and so did ours, but theirs had more impact on the outcome of the game so there's another area of the pitch they bettered us in. The only area left is the goalies, and ours conceded 4 goals and theirs 2, so you could argue theirs had the better game, although Iverson wasn't really at fault for any of their goals, even if I thought he should have done better with Pedro's header. They are a top Premier league side, so there was no shame in the way we lost today, and in my opinion we played well in the main, but we're just beaten by a miles better football side.
