In the Telegraph interview 'two 8s and a 4' was mentioned as preferred style. Where that leaves a 10 like Bae is a bit worrying. He'll be one of the 8's, they are given licence to get forward and score/create. He'll hopefully be our "Azaz". It really depends on what Schuey’s vision is for the team. At Plymouth his preferred system was 3-4-2-1, so that’s two 10’s rather than two 8’s. In the 'double 10s' system I see Vidigal and Bae supporting Mmaee. The only way I could see Cundle fitting is if Schuey adopted a 4-3-2-1 – Pearson as 6, with Burger and Cundle as the two 8's. Baker and Thompson would be the backups to that midfield trio. I know Cundle is not Plymouth's player, but could we offer one of either Laurent or DJ in a trade-off to help smooth the deal?!

Disaster signings... Get a fucking grip. While DJ have been disappointing, and I never understood why he was signed as he hadn't been good for years, he's not lead to us going down or something (We should try to get rid though, for FFP) Pearson has done an ok job. I expected a bit more, but he's the new boo boy for the usual suspects on here it seems, so he's now down to "disaster signing". You're a fucking idiot if you believe that. Even Gayle isn't disastrous, he's just held us back since we coul've used his wages on someone else. Wimmer, Imbula, Afobe, Vokes - now that was disastrous signings who took us down and kept us there even with parachute money AND fooked us with regards to FFP. In case you missed it, we're in a relegation battle. Absolute disaster signings. Open your eyes, both are shite. What's the point in mentioning other footballers who are no longer with us. I agree, they were disaster signings as well. So Neil wasn't the problem after all? Yes, we're in a relegation battle, though I don't think we'll be for long. "Both are shite" my ass. Invoking the signature oatcake post doesn't make it true. I wonder where you think we'd have been if we hadn't signed Pearson and had to rely on Thompson (who you for some inexcplicable reason seem to rate above Pearson which is pure lunacy...). Don't get me wrong, JT's fine as backup, but as the mainstay DM? We'd be in the bottom three in my opinion. Pearson is a solid midfielder for all championship sides except the recently demoted ones. And he's shown that. As other have been trying to point out to the numbnuts on here, the defensive players have not been our problem (except at GK). And I include a ball winning DM as a defensive player. He's not fucking Pirlo, although you'd moan at him for "not being hard enough" or something. Johnson have been shite going forward, but I still think at least some of the fault should be with the total lack of link-up play and creativity in the squad assembled by his bald Dourness. We are already seeing improvement in that area, and hopefully DJ will improve as well (though I have serious doubts). I still want Lee Trun^H^H^H^H^H^H^Huke Cundle in if Schuey wants him as a number 8. He's probably better than both DJ, Baker and Laurent. I mentioned the old players because they were actually the disastrous signings. But DJ and Pearson disastrous? Holy hyperbole, Batman!

Think we've done OK since STS arrived and Pearson was out of the side. The bloke is a fat lazy fucker, a walking yellow card and only here for the cash. Walking being apt as that's what he does mainly while the oppo run past him. Neil was 100% the problem and now he's gone. The ex Preston lads should follow him out of the door. We'll see a brighter future. Thompson isn't the answer no, hence why we need replacements. "Defensive players have not been our problem" .... fuck me sideways.

I like this one, particularly that he's already had experience at two Championship clubs before coming here.
We've had a few players in the recent past where we've loaned them first and not got the best out of them - and they've then gone on to better things (Clarke, Delap and Philogene) at other clubs.
Hopefully this time we can benefit.

As for where he fits, that will depend on how good he is. If he's good enough, he'll start alongside Burger or even higher up the pitch.
We may be strongest there but the current lot are hardly pulling up any trees are they? We're still hovering above the drop zone after half of the season.

Goals conceded: 32 - in or near the top 6 (fewer than Ipswich and Hull) Goals scored: 25 - in or near the bottom three (only SheffW, QPR and Rotherham have scored less) Yeah, it's the defence that's the problem... The numbers don't support your stance.

It really depends on what Schuey’s vision is for the team. At Plymouth his preferred system was 3-4-2-1, so that’s two 10’s rather than two 8’s. Both players struggle as wide players, as neither can cross a ball! Playing as supporting 10s behind Mmaee would suit them much better. That was a really good article from Percy by the way, and Ange is a top man for imparting his thoughts and advice on former players to other managers. Ange didn't even use Hakš that much at Celtic.

If we are playing Ange Ball, and we did on Friday at Watford, the two wide attackers are positioned very wide and cut in from the touchline. Its definitely not 4-3-2-1, more 2-3-4-1 with the two fullbacks pushing the number 8s forward

Earlier there was talk of playing with a 4 and two 8s in midfield so possibly 4: Burger, Pearson, Thompson 8s: Bae, Baker, Cundle, Laurent, Johnson So maybe a 4123 or 4141? I subscribe to the view that our lack of goals stems from a lack of creativity in midfield - it's not like the strikers are missing chance after chance but more that we aren't creating many chances and the one's we are creating aren't very high quality. I'm not against bringing in another striker (although it will probably be dependent on moving on Campbell) but unless we create more and better chances from midfield I don't think it would make much difference.

We’ll have probably spoken to Wolves and sounded out the players agent and are now considering whether or what bid to make. Clubs really don’t make offers for players blind nowadays.

Not judging anyone until I have seen them, but what is slightly concerning is that the Plymouth fans are not too worried about him leaving and rate the lad off to Borough twice the player. Looks like we are overpaying again. i think that schuey is a better judge of a player than the average Plymouth supporter.

Another quality signing on paper. Was very good last year at Swansea. Will blow some peoplesinds on here we have signed a player whilst having 6 CMs on our books but he's better than what we have so get him in! I have a feeling Laurent may be off and Thompson still hasn't signed a new deal has he.

Agents talk to clubs constantly about players contracted to other clubs and the media. That’s just how things are. I think it’s naive to believe we approached Plymouth about Schu either without an encouraging conversation with his agent.
