And it seems to me You lived your life Like Luke Cundle on the wing. If only he was a winger...actually nope this still would be awful 😂 Quite funny though

I thought we were poor in midfield on Saturday, I'd happily welcome an upgrade in that area.

Looks a Schumacher type of player, young, well thought of and not too much of a risk at £2m

What you expect and what is in our power to achieve are two different things. He should not be indulged by bringing players into already overstocked positions. These are the same mistakes we’ve already made. Central midfield is overstocked 1 in should be dependant on 1 out. Yeah I agree but me and you don't know if there's already been talks with DJ/Laurent or one of the others leaving. If at the end of the window we've signed Cundle and not sold anyone, then yeah it's looks a bit overkill. I'm confident we'd see at least one leave though. Yes we've got plenty to go at that we could easily allow to leave. Any of them except Burger really. Of the rest I think Laurent is more capable than the others but how you get it out of him I've no idea. Maybe needs somebody pissing him off for a few hours before every game to get him to play with a bit of an edge. maybe steal his head phones??

More like a Johnson replacement I hope. I think he'll be one of the first the new gaffer will be ridding us of. Who on earth is going to take him though with 18 months left on his contract.

Looks like the right profile of player, but not a problem area for us righht now I trust Shumacher on this one, he knows the player, I don't. His assist stats look impressive and apart from Burger I don't think we've got any long term prospects as I see Bae as more attacking than midfield.

I guess if its strike now, or we loose out by waiting till the summer. surely we need to strike now if funds allow, and ship off the rest in the summer. As someone else said, aside from Burger we need to improve in that area for a proper tilt next season
Pearson is so far off what is required to play with the energy he wants its shocking.

He was good v Leeds and away at Middlesbrough, miles better than the below par League 1 standard he produces normally Guess we are stuck with him shame, good pro but not up to this level anymore on a regular basis

If we let him go on a free I'd be surprised if another club weren't prepared to pick up his wages for the remainder of the term. He's served his purpose in being here long enough to give Bae time to bed in, which from the sounds of it happened quicker than Neil thought it would. Signing a replacement player should be more difficult now because Bae has to be given space to develop into a Premier League player.

Every part of our team needs attention. If STS wants this lad and we have the opportunity to sign we should.
Our midfield, thanks to Neil, is woeful.

Its all about building for next season so why not buy the right players for that.
Midfield will need a minor clear out.
DJ just needs shifting.
Baker and Laurent are both probably in last chance saloon at Stoke to show if they can cut it still.
Pearson has been pretty average but he brings something different to the team and I would keep him.

Perhaps because the players you want shifting have contracts and it's not sensible to buy players in expectance of shifting them. I actually think we've got that sussed now though. We held off on Junior no matter how much we wanted him until Tymon was sold. Says we're not willing to stockpile players again even though the RB/LB balance wasn't right. We should have either signed a LB or kept Tymon and forgone one of the RB options but we had 4 players for 2 positions and weren't willing to go beyond that. We already have at least 1 too many central midfielders so I hope we don't sign any more without getting any out.

On a personal note I have been thoroughly disappointed with DJ so, with his gaffer gone….? Two mill in this division is pretty much ‘found it down the back of the sofa’ money isn’t it?

I think we don't yet know how Laurent and Baker will play for schuey. He wants something very different from the mdifield than Neil wanted and seems to get more out of midfield players because of it. I think burger, Jun ho, thompson, baker and laurent all potentially have something to give. Pearson and DJ as very much Neil signings may not feel it with the new manager and move on. Its all about building for next season so why not buy the right players for that. Midfield will need a minor clear out. DJ just needs shifting. I keep reading everywhere that we are strong in the midfield area but I just don't see it. Burger and Bae aside, I think the quality is very poor for the 8 position and at DM, I like Thompson but even then I can acknowledge his limitations.
We might have bodies but the rest are poor or inconsistent.
Every time you get a new manager you learn about the strong points and weak points of his system and also the non negotiatiables (mind the pun). Under Pulis it was the striker at No. 10 position that was key to his system working. Under Schumacher I reckon it's going to be the two 8s.
I'd be delighted to see another option arrive that will give us the flexibility of using Burger deeper, who I thought was outstanding versus Millwall. A real masterclass in adding a second dimension to that role.
