Think he speaks brilliantly and demonstrates a lot of confidence and experience already.
Bit of an underrated comment but really like how he already refers to Stoke as 'us'. Shows he is onboard mentally. Another positive is he was very happy to break the streak of not winning at St Andrews.
Exciting times ahead

Love how down to earth he is.
Probably the first Stoke manager to say 'defo' in a post-match interview

Feeling positive about this appointment. Think at last we have a manager that his teams play to the death. Been fed up over the last few years of going a goal behind and knowing we have lost. Also got my mojo back after yesterday. Even excited again for the next match.

There are going to be inevitable bumps in the road but you do get the felling he will say it's OK I'll sort it and we will trust in him to do so

I think at long last we have got ourselves a man at the helm who will do well.

How refreshing to listen to an individual who demonstrates engagement rather than sloven summary. Neil was a man on the outside looking in, Schumey, from this interview anyhow, is a man amongst. We'll falter, of course, but he certainly seems to value teamwork & togetherness based upon this interviews tone & intent. Well done, Stoke - Push on!

Feels like from that he just absolutely loves football - not something is a given from every manager.

The antithesis of Neil. Like a breath of fresh air in the place.
Really hope he makes a success of the very hard job he has been given. Like he said, there will be ups and downs along the way but very early indications look positive.

Something I noticed with Neil is he regularly said "I think..." which didn't make him sound confident, and if he talked like that with the players, perhaps didn't give them confidence. I can't imagine it's a new thing for him though so mustn't have been a problem during his successful spells at previous clubs.

Speaks so well, as one of the team rather than the baseless, arrogant schoolmaster that Neil was.
He'll have support in spades with that attitude.

He's got absolutely everything right off the pitch so far, and most things on it.
Really likeable guy...............

Neil was a man on the outside looking in..... Particularly when we lost, which was often! When we won he was very bullish! π Shumey is great!

Absolute breath of fresh air to listen to after Voldermorts depressing monologues.
Seems very down to earth, likeable and humble. Hope he succeeds seems such a nice genuine guy.

Surprised nobody has pointed out his comments related to the simple messages and trying not to overcomplicate things.
That's key for me and I think it's something that we've fallen foul to most with previous managers. Trying to be too intricate and constantly chopping and changing to suit the opposition.
Football really is a simple game.

I told you all that he was a fantastic man manager. He was buzzing after the game and is completely aware of where we need to improve. Nearly pissed myself when he said 'defo'. Just shows he's one of the lads, who knows his shit. Long may this continue π

I see Paul Gallagher has become 'Gally' that says to me SS very much wants to keep him here.

Iβm going with cautious optimism, which is monumental as I think when you follow us default pessimism brings safety. Something akin to the first fart where you donβt leave a trace, following a prolonged bout of diarrhoea.
