Doing just fine for me. Deserves his place and I wouldn't be losing much sleep if we don't re sign Travers.

Yeah we need to get Travers back in here so half of us can bitch about HIM for a change. It's OK, we're Stoke and we should be spoiled when it comes to goalkeepers. I hope that tradition lives on forever.

Quite impressed with him at the moment, my only gripe is his decision making when it comes to crosses.. something I'm sure could be worked on by the coaches. He's a decent size and could be commanding on top of his other qualities.

Bonham has done his job well, stepping up as the back-up when required. But for me Travers walks straight back into the team if he comes back and if he doesn’t then we need someone else asap.

Sounds like from the commentary that Travers is still appearing on the bench so looks like we will have to look elsewhere. Maybe not a bad thing.

Great shot-stopper but has a brain fart whenever he has time to make a decision.

He’s proving that it was the right decision to offer him an extension. Rewarding him for stepping up once Travers left. Hopefully we can now get Travers back.
Funnily enough the last time we won a game at home, Mark Travers was in goal.

He gave QPR (I think - prepared to be corrected) a goal in the last minute with the mother of all brain farts!

Yeah seriously, he’s made one howler and that was the Swansea equaliser when he misjudged a cross and got caught under the ball…..

Mate I’m not slating him remotely, and he has (by and large) done very well, certainly better than expected, but he is in no way a first choice No1.

The Swans game was won until Pearson did his usual lazy leg out but doesn't take away from the mistake

Who cares if he is or isn’t a number one though it’s just a label? A manager has a squad, players get injured or get recalled and the shirt becomes that persons to lose. And so far he’s largely been absolutely fine…..

Our opponents today currently sit second in the table. Would you say on today’s evidence that their goalkeeper is better than Jack Bonham?

Would you say on today’s evidence that their goalkeeper is better than Jack Bonham? He made 2 outstanding saves from Mmaee and Baker, just as Jack made 2 outstanding saves. Some dodgy kicking but on a par I’d say.

I think the problem Bonham had, was the lack of confidence, which wasn’t really surprising. Having a group of defenders, who hadn’t got a clue as to what they were supposed to be doing, would knock most GKs confidence. Since the arrival of SS, it’s as clear as day, he’s got them playing as a unit and there’s been a remarkable improvement in Bonhams performances. Ok, neither of them is the finished article and there is room for improvement but maybe with the addition of a couple of new faces they won’t be far off. Here’s hoping, anyway.🤞
