Good little player he's turning into. Versatile, mobile and with a bit of bite. He's been very impressive under Schumacher, and one I've always liked to be honest. I think him and Junior are the only players in our squad with a bit of bite in the tackle. He quite often leaves a bit on the player which I like, hard but fair. We are way too soft in general.

he's done really well at LB so far.
I wonder what is happening about his contract?

My only worry would be if he came up against a quick tricky winger like Dembele on Saturday, he's got no pace and can't tackle so so either he would be sent of in about 15 minutes or we'd be three down.

That'll be a good test mate. I swear he looks more rapid tracking back at LB than expected. At LWB he was negative and kept checking back, but maybe it was a mental or ball control issue rather than lack of pace. At CDM he didn't really need to show any pace. So I was worried about him at LB at first.

Yeh I know what you mean but when he played left back against Leeds he did really well against gnonto who is quick. He is so underrated I’m a fan. Playing left back gives him a good opportunity to play a good few games

Wouldn’t that be great Hopefully there is someone out there as good as junior and as young I don’t really follow the leagues below; however, given that Wesley will be off the books at the end of the year, won’t we have another wild card option? I wouldn’t be upset if we used it on a full back. They seem crucial to how SS wants to play.

I guess if Wesley is a wild card it should leave a space open. Yeah they’re more important than you think especially when you see hoever play there.

He's done enough for me to keep his place at LB and revisit signing another LB in the summer to replace Stevens.

About the worst defensive display I’ve ever seen today.
Well played son.

About the worst defensive display I’ve ever seen today. Well played son. The idea at this point in his career he would suddenly be some a left back is too ludicrous to say out loud. Hopefully today is the last time we see him there though the options with Stevens injured are limited

About the worst defensive display I’ve ever seen today. Well played son. I liked how he ran into the goalpost instead of marking his man for their header back inside for the first goal, honourable mention for most wtf moment of the match behind bonham's attempt at nutmeging daka infront of his own goal.

This nonsense has to stop. The fact that we’ve gone through another transfer window without addressing it is negligent.

Was the least of our problems today. Probably our best defender of the day. That midfield selection was atrocious though.

About the worst defensive display I’ve ever seen today. Well played son. The idea at this point in his career he would suddenly be some a left back is too ludicrous to say out loud. Hopefully today is the last time we see him there though the options with Stevens injured are limited A guy in his thirties who had hardly played a game in 2 years before he came here(Stevens) isn't the answer either and with him being out for Feb this should have been number 1 priority position in the transfer window, number 2 a decent central defender with some genuine quality and decent header of the ball, options are not limited in the left-back position - there are no options other than a square peg. We have a manger who wants to attack and try and play on the front foot and get players forward, but doing so means you have to have quality throughout the backline, should they get left exposed and we are short of numbers - the last manager started off trying to press forward but quickly realised his defence was utterly garbage and then ended up doing a Pulis and putting 11 behind the ball trying to pinch a goal at the other end. He, complained about his defence and did nothing to rectify the problem, like all before him. We now have the latest British punt who, unbelievably, saw fit to not bring a solitary defender in the window - we literally don't have a viable left-back at the club. His non-negotiables, one of them being each player winning his individual battle are just words, unless he can somehow polish a bunch of turds. He can't continue with his naïve tactics or we will be conceding 3 or 4 every game.

He wasn’t terrible, was he? He’s not a LB and he’s up against the best wingers in the league. The rest of the back four were miles worse.
I thought he did a good job when he played it against Birmingham but that wasn’t as an out and out left back. I feel like SS has now already gone back on his principles and playing JT as a proper left back is pretty stupid.

It’s not his fault but he’s not a left-back and irregardless of how much of a good pro he is he also isn’t a Championship level player either.

JT has been given a hospital pass with this LB gig.
He’s actually done ok all things considered but we shouldn’t be in a position where we are relying on him to excel there.
Signing Cundle and leaving poor JT exposed there is a complete joke.

I guess we will need to play both Hoever and Tchamadeu next match but not sure who will be on the left and right.
