Other than Vidigal and Travers none of the new players have improved this team. Burger has. For me they look badly coached. Add to that our best player being out which is a huge loss and new players still not bedded in things don’t look great. I do think things will improve though if he goes for it rather than playing it safe. Best team for me Travers Junior Wilmot Rose Gooch / Stevens Burger Pearson Johnson / Bae Vidigal Mmaee Hack

We had some great away performances last year. This year, 3 games, looking like 3 defeats and 0 goals. You have to question AN. Last year it was ‘just wait until he gets his own players’, he doesn’t have long now, he’s just brought in 17 of his own. To tell you the truth I think he’s a tinkerman who thinks he’s smarter than he is. What we need is to go back to basics, pick a formula and a way of playing, get that across to the players clearly, and stick to it. Stop tweaking it every game because we are worried about the opposition. The changes have largely been enforced through injuries though.

We had no shape today due to injuries. Wesley won’t be starting many when everyone is fit and Bae will adapt to the pace of the English game and Leris was beyond poor.First half was bad, sloppy passing and out fought. Second was better but still hardly threatening but I thought Junior and the Serb fella were quite positive.

I think we are in free fall.
3 defeats in a row without a goal.
No away goal since April.
How bad do you want it?
AN and Coatesy have given Jared and Mad Rick free reign to sack the loyal staff and piss the summer budget up the wall in a spending spree using a pin and a blindfold when some pragmatism was needed.

Other than Vidigal and Travers none of the new players have improved this team. That’s nonsense. Travers, Gooch, , Stevens, Rose, McNally, Burger, Johnson and Vidigal are better man for man in their position than Bursik, Clarke, Tymon, Jagielka, Taylor, Smallbone, Clucas and Celina. And every chance Junior, Maaee and Hasa will be too. Hoever and Pearson were already here and Wesley is a better off the bench option. We still need to see about Leris, Junior, Bae and Jojic but overall it is a better squad. Performances are stuttering but we have to give them time

To me, Vidigal, mmaee, bae, all look excellent quality. I was very impressed with tchamadeu in the short time he's on The reason we'll struggle is that we did not prioritize the key problem areas at centre back and striker and what that means is that all that nice play in the middle means nothing as we're not good enough in the two most important areas of the pitch. It was yet another failure of the decision makers at this club. And now we as fans have to put up with another shit sub-par season because of it. Often it just feels like life is too short to put up with supporting stoke. Wank, absolute wank

I’m so conflicted right now:
Same old sh*t, again!
And…
New squad with injuries. Just needs time.
Either way, the crushing misery of supporting Stoke continues.

We’ve definitely got some good players now but the manager doesn’t seem to have a clue how to use them!! Yep, you’re not telling me that no manager out there could get a tune out of this group of players. We don’t sign these players without Neil here though, do we?

Saying that, it's a shame we didn't sign that right back we spent all summer chasing and put in a very good bid for, we wouldn't have had to play a winger at full back then.

The transfer market was supermarket sweep - grab the goodies even if you know they are probably nice but bad for you - and not get the basic staples - which you need as part of your diet.

Elephant in the room time..
Being honest how many of the new players have we heard of?
Shopping around the continent and beyond may be exciting but they've got to be worth it and good enough for Championship football. Aside from that...
Two big transfer decisions that may shape our season ... Selling Tymon and signing Wesley. Terrible management.

I don’t think 5 games is particularly fair to judge on. We can’t plead for patience and then decide it’s wank! We need to find something for sure and there needs to be signs of a preferred side but once again we are hampered by injuries only 5 games in. It’d look utterly ridiculous if we allowed the rebuild we have and then got rid. We just won’t. All 3 away games have been tough ones, and we’ve lost against Preston at home. It’s not a disaster, but we need to pick up points this week. A small point we are 6 games in, we've lost 4 of them

I think it’s been fine margins so far. Unfortunately for us we’ve been on the wrong side of most of them. It’d be nice if we were sat higher up the table with actual proof of improvement based on the points tally but for now I’m trying to hold onto the fact that it’s a new squad who have shown some good signs, whilst not being ruthless enough at either end. Still. Getting irate at this stage isn’t going to help anything, let alone a newly assembled young squad of players from all over the world.

Pitch or bitumen is the thickest liquid in the world, taking between 8 and 25 years to form a single droplet when left in a funnel. There’s only one physical process known to be slower than this - the time it takes for a Stoke team to “gel”

Selling Tymon was fine, Gooch played just as well as, if not better, than Tymon would have. Wesley has been okay, if he turns out to be second choice, which was the plan, he'll be ample back up until Jan.

For me , it is going to take time and we need patience. Three positives for me today, in my opinion our 3 best players were Gooch, Tchamaden and Haksabanovic who all played well. We know Burger will play well in a good side. Bae will come good, but needs more time. For me, Campbell is never a winger, but a central striker of two up front. We might need a commanding centre half ( Souttar unrealistic but probably ideal) alongside Wilmot and possibly a striker in January if we are thereabouts..

Tymon is a natural left footed back or wing back that could produce a cross. Think he will thrive in the right team. Only Vidal of course has produced anything so far out of the new signings. We ought to persevere with Hoever in ny opinion. Quality that needs nurturing.

He may mean the players who have been here a while seem to have become poorer at executing basic skills required to be a footballer, and that collectively the 11 players on the pitch rarely seem to interact with their teammates in coherent effective way, that suggests they have been practicing with each other.

Best team for me Travers Junior Wilmot Rose Gooch / Stevens Burger Pearson Johnson / Bae Vidigal Mmaee Hack I'll bite, in what way badly coached? - The movement of players - the lack of energy - the lack of an apparent gameplan - the insistence on playing it around the back when it’s clearly not working - square pegs in round holes - Fear in and around the box I actually like Neil believe it or not he just seems to be out thought by opposition managers.

He’s had 2 full windows to sort the defence out, it worse than ever. That’s the first thing a new manager should do when he comes in, sorry but today was woeful.
