6 wins out of 20 so far this season. Only two sides in the league have won fewer home games than us.
Pretty dismal stuff.

It shows a lot of the players are bottle jobs and haven't got the courage to get on the ball and play.
AN will know this and sort out the weak from the strong

The frustrating thing is there’s been 5/6 games where we’ve started really brightly and could have been 1 or 2 goals to the good and haven’t put teams away. We must concede a goal every 1 or 2 chances compares to scoring a goal every 4 or 5…….

Five home defeats on the bounce to Bristol City!!
Guessing that this is all in the league since returning to the Championship.
And, all that after beating them in that crucial game back in 2007/2008 when Mama scored twice…
When did we last have such a bad run of home results in games against the same opposing team?… Doubt we had anything as bad in the Prem.

Very disappointing. Not been but if I understood it a game of two halves. 8 home defeats is it???? Think Neil will be Ok but his biggest achievement so far is getting us rock solid mid table. Be interesting next year

We’re going to need to get dirty crappy results in games like todays if we are to challenge next season. The second half was a complete turnaround but we need to make sure we don’t come out with nothing. When we were promoted under Tone we rarely faltered at home and generally managed to get something even if we were outplayed.
Not sure what’s up with us at home. We just freeze.

Our home form has been abysmal for some time now.
Today was a massive reality check.

Embarassing beyond belief. Has to improve now if our supposed improvement for next season...Believe that when I see it.. Your first post about Stoke City for over a month. In the meantime we've beaten Sunderland 5-1, Blackburn 3-2, Coventry 4-0 and played pretty well in draws against Norwich and Middlesbrough. Our first defeat in five matches and you can't wait to bore us with your opinion. Pathetic.

We see you.

If you are happy with todays performance well you need to take those rose coloured specs off. I was not happy and will say so when necessary . You can bore off. I watched all those matches you refer to.

Second half was pathetic today however they didn't get booed off because of the excellent recent form After twenty minutes with no goals but exciting flowing football I said we probably are going to lose this but I don't mind when we play like this. Second half was poor but at the end if I remembered how we started the game I couldn't be too critical. I think Neil was out thought by Pearson who adjusted Bristol's tactics to nullify our high press and had a forward line which targeted Jagielka's and Hoever's loss of pace in the heat. Fox should have been on for Jagielka and Tymon for Hoever after the first 15 minutes of the second half to make us more solid. Powell was the last person to take off early - you could see the shackles come off their defence when Brown moved to the middle.

AN will know this and sort out the weak from the strong I think it shows that we have been too easy to defend against for the vast majority of the season to be honest. Away from home, teams come at us. At home, we have to be aggressive. Too often this season have we been toothless.

Certain posters who were all over the board when things were bad seem to have vanished into thin air.

It was pretty obvious we weren't going to steam roller teams every week.
Our recent run of form wouldn't have gone unnoticed and credit to Pearson, they did a job on us.If we are serious about being in the mix next season we need to learn to win ugly and pick up points when we aren't playing well.
Yesterday was always going to happen before the season was out ,we were never going in win every game let alone keep scoring 3 or 4.Our issue has ,and will continue to be letting teams off the hook when we are well on top.We are improving, of that there's no doubt, but it's a habit that isn't going to just go away overnight.

Fortress bet365? No, straw house. Yesterday we should have thrashed a really poor side, very very disappointingly back to the bad days!

A winning ugly mindset pretty much precludes winning well particularly on a regular basis. Think I’d prefer to not do too much different than we’ve been doing to win games well pretty regularly and have people accept that it won’t happen every week, sometimes you lose. We could quite easily have scored 3 or 4 again whilst we were on top. It was disappointing that we lost all control of the game and the ball but I don’t think playing grinding percentage football is the answer.
