I’ve just been having alook at our home record since relegation to the championship and it really is poor 114 games(with 1 to go) W44 D27 L43 That’s 5 seasons worth of excitement in the Championship! These would be interesting 5 year comparisons against that: Seasons 1-5 in the PL Seasons 6-11 in the PL

The behind the scenes management looking to increase ST’s, replica strips, general revenue etc. must be thinking WTF.

Been in a bad mood all day cause of last night .... BUT don’t forget this is a Fantastic club with fanatical support home and away .....great local Owners who are genuine Fans ... For me the Players we’ve had over the last four Seasons have been gash ... total bottlers ... this Season the players have shown they can’t handle the expectations placed on them .. in font of the home crowd ... last night they looked scared to make a forward pass for fear of losing possession .... total clear out Get some hard nuts IN!!!

It’s been rather shite.

We have to play with tempo , which ever way we play, we have to move the ball much more quickly.
The first yard is in your head, so either we get in some quick thinking, athletic players, who move the ball quickly or we break down few teams, win few games and see attendances fall off a cliff .

Have we had a worse home season since 84/85
I guess 89/90 and 97/98 must have been bad but this season our home form feels rancid

Where is the thread heralding our outstanding ‘Away Form’? We are 16th for a reason March. Our away form has been good (7th best in the league overall (?)) but that doesn’t make up for the massive failure that is our ability to perform in front of the majority of the supporter base.

That might be a clincher as one of the best/ worst stats I've ever seen. That is depressing for sure. Yet only maybe twice this season have I heard any really meaningful boo's. The club and players have got off really easy for being absolutely dsigraceful.

Need to schedule a stadium-renovation and play the first 12 games on the road next season. That's all I've got.

12 home defeats.
Trying to think when we might have lost more home games than this in the second flight?
1997/98 was the season we got relegated to the third flight, along with a club called Man City if anyone still remembers them, but even that season we only lost 10 home games.
Either way it's been quite an achievement so congratulations to all involved.
How do we fix the home form? A couple of ideas spring to mind...
1.Restore the red stripes on the home kit. The present rather effete salmon pink stripes with white arrows through them don't make us look like an even half serious football team.
2.Rename the stadium, perhaps simply to 'The Britannia' or 'The Victoria'. The name 'Bet365' is just laughable and will thankfully have to go at some point anyway since the authorities have a big downer on problem gambling.

12 home defeats and 7 of them have been 1-0.This for me tells you everything you need to know about our lack of creativity to break teams down. Only two 1-0 defeats in away games though at Blackpool and Luton

Only two 1-0 defeats in away games though at Blackpool and Luton His record at home at Preston: 2020-2021: lost 10 home games out of 19 before he got the sack (won just 5) - 6 of which finished 0-1 (including the first 3 home games, one of the games against us!) 2019-2020: lost 7 out of 23 home games - 3 finished 0-1 and he won 12. 2018-2019: lost 5 out of 23 home games - 1 finished 0-1 and he won 8. 2017-2018: lost 5 out of 23 home games - 2 finished 0-1 and he won 9. so in 4 seasons at Preston (last one only 19 games at home) he has won just 34 out of 88 home games - 39%. Interesting stat is in 2020/2021, where he used a 3-5-2 system a lot, it took his Preston side until 21st November to register their first home win of the season, a 1-0 win against Sheffield Wednesday after back to back defeats in all of their previous home games - to Swansea, Stoke, Cardiff, Millwall and Birmingham. I don't think it's a lack of creativity on the pitch that will be solved by a transfer window that is the problem. There is very much a recurring pattern here and it seems to be a certain manager at the middle of it...

Our appalling home run is put into sharp perspective when you consider we won 5 and drew 1 ( which we should have won easily ) in the first 6 home games of last season.
Shambolic from both MON and ( more so ) AN.There really is no hiding place for him next season,he has to hit the ground running.
