The "easiest" solution to the problem is just to win the last seven games finishing on 72 points in the playoffs. Stuff the opposition in the first game then have a day out at Wembley which we win four nil to get promotion. Then all of the loanees will want to stay and we'll be able to get the dong out and splash it all about! Problem solved!

Realistically, sign 1 or 2,then loan the rest again for the whole of next season.

I am starting to think that loan players may see Stoke as being their best chance of a prem career. Getting game time, playing well in a team that is entertaining who will or should be competitive next season with a realistic chance of promotion. Starting to look an attractive proposition once more. They've all been unhappy at their clubs, none of them were playing much, they've come here and are playing all the time in a good team, with realistic prospect of promotion next season. There will be a big pull for them. I think we'll sign Pearson and sterling, I think we'll try for Smallbone and hoever.
