Hmmmm… is that the number of people who sat on sofas, or does it include those who said they were going to but then didn’t bother? 🤔 If these figures are anything like voting estimates l think they ask two to three thousand demographically representative people and extrapolate from there for the country as a whole.

If kane had of scored that 2nd penalty, he would have been on 3 goals with the possibility of playing 2 more games & get the Golden boot for the 2nd WC running.

Having slept on last nights heartache it really bugs me that the standard of the officiating was so unbelievably poor. We all know the ref was incredibly poor but so too were the Lino’s on both wings. I didn’t realise at the time but it’s laughable looking back that our 2nd penalty even needed a VAR review - again the Lino on that side had full view and didn’t flag. You can take a defeat like yesterday under normal circumstances, but it’s an incredibly hard pill to swallow given there was significant impact from the actions (or lack threreof) from the officials. People may say that’s part of the game especially before VAR but fact of the matter is we would not have had the 2nd penalty to send into space without it. Said it before but until referees start taking accountability nothing will change. Get the referees in the press rooms and give them their chance to explain contentious decisions. I’m feeling more gutted now than I did on Saturday now it’s sunk in and the officials have a lot to do with it. If he just gives it like he should have there isn’t that excruciating wait and Kane overthinking it like he clearly did. I really don’t see why there’s a cut off for VAR decisions either. If that Saka foul is given, they don’t score the first. France really got away with one on Saturday and I hope they realise it. Man for man we were better and two moments of quality from them make the difference. I may be cutting my nose off to spite my face but I probably won’t watch another minute of it now. I just lose any interest once England go out. I didn’t watch the 2018 final either. We were closer to winning this one than four years ago and I’m not sure we’ll get a better chance again. It’s easy to say X, Y and X will be 4 years older and better for it next time around, but we thought that Dele Alli would be that player this time yet he’s fallen off the face off the earth. We’ll likely lose Stones, Walker, Maguire, Henderson and Kane for the next World Cup and although some have had their detractors, they’ve been excellent for England. If we are going to win anything it’s got to be Euro 2024. There just always seems to be that something stopping us, no matter how good we are. I think we are probably top 3 in the world in terms of ability and even performance. We just can’t see it through when it really matters and that’s the crushing part.

France didn't get away with anything. This is exactly the outcome FIFA will have wanted and will have ensured those with needy pockets get their fair share of money. The French have always been one of the FIFA-faves and one of the most commercially rewarding. I genuinely believe this WOrld Cup has not been as rewarding financially for FIFA as many of the previous. Countries like Morocco, don't make FIFA money. Countries like France do. What FIFA need now is a warm, financially rewarding France vs Messi final. Platini was very close to the majority of those most corruptible in the 'FIFA family'. He's your typical example of a corrupt fuckwit doing well in FIFA and the French have always been rewarded as such and will always be treated well. They've not got an ounce of integrity. It's just shame that we don't thanks to that fucking knob head Dyke. He'll never live watch-gate down.

You'll have to explain / justify this.

And someone I know told me that he and his QAnon mates are convinced that Morocco are going through to the Final, because it's a great conspiracy to get an African nation there. He seemed really surprised that there was another alternative conspiracy narrative.
You couldn't make it up - oh wait a minute...

In other words it’s a load of made up bollocks Or it's a significant sample taken from a population based on many decades of exhaustive statistical and ratings research

Based on this world cup (rather than our traditional shortcomings) l don't see how you can argue that there was anything wrong with our mental application.
