We have options all over the pitch bar the two centre halves, keeper and left back. Very frustrating it took to the 3rd game to really see them, but better than never. We won't have a better chance of winning this tournament - I genuinely think it's a poor set of teams this year and even the outstanding teams so far (France and Brazil) have real weaknesses in them. France are weak at the back and Brazil don't seem to have the verve and flair of days gone by (Richarlison FFS!) - I reckon a good European team could get at them. France, on an off day at the back, couldn't live with our attack.
Long way to go for sure, and there is always a potential banana skin where we're concerned but hard to not get excited.
Argentina and Holland are dark horses (both look crap so far but there is something about them I reckon).

I think if Argentina finish second in their group they play France at the weekend ….There’s every likelihood that could happen given they’ve got Poland Nobody will want to play England

Not a single team in this tournament will want to play us. Rio was also spot on in that Walker is probably the only RB that will handle Mbappe for pace.

It’s a really tricky one.
I think the first 3 subs confirmed the 3 players we can’t afford to lose. Add to that the 2 CBs, Bellingham and Pickford and the other 3 places are anybody’s guess.
One things for sure Foden has to play on the left now. I’m not a fan of 433 but I could understand it after the 2nd half performance.
For me I’d go with the same as tonight with an AM in for Henderson but that may be a bit harsh as it does appear he’s a good organiser.
One thing that puzzles me is why did he start with Foden on the right and Rashford on the left.
Regardless of who he starts I just hope he’s proactive if things aren’t working.

If England can control central midfield v France - & that's a big if obviously but I think we could do - then we can get the French worrying about our attackers instead But what the fuck am I doing, we have to beat Senegal first

Forget France we've got to get past Senegal first and they're better than anything we've played yet. Powerful athletic and fast it'll be a tough game Sunday.

Rashford generally plays on the left However Rashford, Foden, Sterling can all play either side AM would be Maddison but he's only just back so no chance he starts Foden or Grealish or even Sterling could play there

We’ve definitely lost to much worse teams than Senegal in the past, I’m just not sure they have the resolve or tactical nouse to get past us. Like most of the African sides they play very much “on the edge” and discipline can let them down.

Only realised we play France in quarters so doesn't matter what we do we won't beat them. They would be favourites but as they showed against Denmark they will give chances away I think about half the teams left would have a chance to beat France Brazil on the other hand look solid (boring even) but can have ten minutes of flair to beat anybody

If Argentina finish second in their group they would play France next. Don't think that would be a foregone conclusion or Poland for that matter. They are good defensively and any side with Lewandowski has a punchers chance.
Argentina have been poor so far but they know how to get the job done in tournaments. Could be a very feisty affair if they meet France.

We definitely want Argentina finishing second in their group tomorrow. At the very least they'd make France work hard for their victory in the last 16.

It will be interesting to see how we do against a team that will come and attack. If the US were half decent, we’d have lost. Our defence has been dire.
On the other hand, if a team comes at us, which I expect Senegal will do, it suits us more as it provides more space for our forward line.

I can’t see foden not starting if fit He’s certainly given Southgate something to think about His job if he doesn't pick him and we lose.

So glad Southgate stuck with the back 4 and hopefully he will again against this lot. Decent team Senegal, and it will be a tough match but play at our maximum and we should beat them....
Pickford Walker Stones Maguire Shaw Rice Bellingham Foden Saka Rashford Kane
That would be my team.
Come on England 🏴
