Don't agree. Most of our defeats have been made by silly mistakes and unforced errors. This team has been ridiculously inconsistent. This the way we set up,tactics bollocks really doesn't wash.We have conspired to lose games we have totally dominated by making the wrong decisions on the field of play. Set up and tactics are one of the biggest things in football. And too often he’s fucked that up. Oh he's not perfect agreed. He is oft slow to make changes during the game (not today)and some of his team selections have baffled many, but most of our losses and draws when we should have won, have been down to player error, and it's bloody frustrating because if we cut half of them out and we would be 12 points better off this season.

My opinion if listened to would mean we were still a PL club but nevermind. This man needs urgent medical attention. His delusional beliefs are totally off the scale. Unless treated he will shortly be seen walking the streets wearing a Superman costume. The underpants on the outside I can see

You'd be playing Christian Norton. I'm not sure your opinion counts for much....... My opinion if listened to would mean we were still a PL club but nevermind. Wow. Do you actually believe that?

My opinion if listened to would mean we were still a PL club but nevermind. Wow. Do you actually believe that? Somewhat yeah. It was obvious we were going down and needed to sack Hughes 8 months earlier. Why didn’t the board see it? And ever since they’ve been useless. Christ you had people still defending Hughes in the December before the January he was sacked. It was a really bizarre time. The blind faith from fans and owners hasn’t changed either. People will say it’s hindsight but it’s not. It was all so obvious, all so avoidable. All so damn heartbreaking.

There were plenty of warning signs after the Liverpool cup loss. Anyone who pointed it out was ignored and pilloried both on here and at the club. Arnautovic for all his arrogance was correct and the Jese signing shit that happened afterwards was mind boggling in it's avoidance of the truth. The club was badly mismanaged and the price was paid. A price we continue to pay. *edit I'm still glad we won today though

Definitely knee jerk and was very early but he messed that whole period up with not rotating the teams to keep people fresh. Arnie was spot on. The club was going backwards and no one seemed to care.

How have you gained your knowledge about tactics ? Was it through learning from coaches and managers from your early days as a apprentice through to the pinnacle of being a professional ? Or as a manager/coach was it more a trial and error process before your own tactics began to gain traction until you and your teams reaped the rewards You don’t need to be any of them to understand football tactics 😂😂🤦♂️ Instead of your post match lectures about players, tactics and team selections, why don’t you give us a pre match profile ? With this you could enlighten us with your team of players who are fit to play, formation of the team and what tactics you would use against that days opposition. We could keep a record of how your version of Stoke City are faring against the real thing, there, Bayernoatcakes Fantasy ! the gift that just keeps on giving.

Specifically talking about the January window 5 players came in 5 players left One sale, no one bought Highish earners Batth and Davies out the door He wasn't backed at all he wheeled and dealed Overall O'Neill net spend will be in the minus whilst the wage bill has tumbled He's failed to get best out of the players, they should be doing much better (& happy to agree someone else could do better) but 'massively backed' is utter nonsense. But it shows that the backing is there. Batth was awful for us. Davies is average and no loss. He was massively backed. He got in what he called expensive loans. He was talking about play offs. We bought in a player in Baker who will be on 20k a week? He’s been heavily backed. and I think to be honest most of us were pretty excited after the January window- unfortunately results didnt go as expected

When it mattered we couldn’t buy a win. That’s what matters and what the manager should be sacked for.

What It’s simple, pre-match you post your team out of the squad players available, the formation of your team and the reasons behind it and finally your tactics. Then we run a league of two teams, your team against the real Stoke City !

Maybe the players are the bottlers, but credit to them for trying to keep him in a job.

He may well be safe now but if we hadn't won any of these last four his position would have been untenable, so their was pressure on him and the board.
