Admittedly.. but Forest lost Grabban for a significant period of time around Christmas and bought Surridge in the January window then carried on with their tremendous form. We were very well supported in the same window yet suffered a continuation of our downturn in form. Read into that what you will. We lost more than one player. Was like a plague of injuries. In all the years of watching have never seen the likes of. We brought some good youngsters through and signed a gem in Baker. Not a disaster and a fit squad and promising players coming through a lot of optimism I get where you're coming from but my optimism has taken a downturn Stoke-wise over the past few seasons and given the time O'Neill has been with us I'm not finding his input has particularly changed that feeling. He's going to be here next season though one can only hope that changes.

Am glad he's doing ok of late

Three loans (one effectively a swap loan) & a free transfer Hardly pushing the boat out 'very well supported' Nah. He was massively backed. He was talking about play offs and expensive deals. Without spending a penny in transfer fees, in fact we sold a player That's not 'massively backed'

Still we gave away 3 points to a team barely avoiding relegation (Reading)! We need to up our games against the worst sides in this division! Peterbrough, one win and one draw = 2 points lost Barnsley, two draws = 4 points lost Deby, two defeats = 6 points lost Reading, one win and one defeat = 3 points lostIn total 15 points lost against those 4 bottom teams! If we had taken 8-9 of those points we would still be in there fighting for the playoffs! Point well made but Derby are not really bottom 3. I know what you mean, but they still are!

As you were told yesterday by someone else Brown and Surridge are some of the biggest fees in the Champo post covid. He was massively backed with the loans and the wage Baker will be on. He called them expensive loans too.

Still does not change the fact that its been a sorry season with some really poor results & displays its strange how some people forget we lost to a very poor Reading side a few days ago without laying a glove on them. this- if only we had taken 3 points at Barnsley, Cardiff and reading and Peterborough recently… even not conceded that silky late equaliser at forest we’d have been on the edges of the playoffs going into the last few. So many games where we really should have been taking the points. The games above alone should have yielded and extra 12 points - plus let’s not forget the Cardiff and Birmingham home games where we really should have taken 3 points - 16 additional points we really should have had- going back through the season. Our inability to take chances, kamikaze defending and poor mentality when in front has cost us time and time again. We have had the squad to do it- it’s just been poorly managed.

The players have never been the issue. so why are you constantly slagging off Brown?

The players have never been the issue. so why are you constantly slagging off Brown? He tries his best doesn’t he and does what the manager tells him. It’s not his fault he’s not that good and shouldn’t be playing. That’s on the manager isn’t it. The players have kept going.

Specifically talking about the January window 5 players came in 5 players left One sale, no one bought Highish earners Batth and Davies out the door He wasn't backed at all he wheeled and dealed Overall O'Neill net spend will be in the minus whilst the wage bill has tumbled He's failed to get best out of the players, they should be doing much better (& happy to agree someone else could do better) but 'massively backed' is utter nonsense.

But not sure why Campbell isn’t playing to get him fit for next season now. He’s improved but overall I still don’t think he’s any good.

But it shows that the backing is there. Batth was awful for us. Davies is average and no loss. He was massively backed. He got in what he called expensive loans. He was talking about play offs. We bought in a player in Baker who will be on 20k a week? He’s been heavily backed.

Not sure, we'd never have been a Prem club. I remember a dreadful performance v Plymouth we somehow won 3-2 as an example. No one would have predicted 10 years in the Prem judging by the comments on here after that despite the win. We,'re all wise asses after the event but get things wrong

There’s been match threads week after week after week slagging the players off, indicating multiple times their efforts ( or lack of them)…….. if the players put a shift in then this is recognized in the comments people post…. There’s been precious little of that this season Stay off the Bostik Bayern

Within that; The performance at Reading was utterly pathetic and way below anything approaching what is acceptable. Still angry about it! Good job we managed to organise a Southern Stokies meet up around it as that was the only good thing about last Tuesday.
