Let's discuss
What the fuck was going through his head?
As Nige said, 'Waiting around having a lick of his ice cream'. Love a Nigeism
It felt nonsensical in every manner, Campbell was through!

Doesn’t anyone know if we are committed to buy him as it wasn’t clear at the time we certainly have an option but you’d go nowhere near it right now

I'm 43, and I've been listening to Nigel since I was a kid, and I've never heard him slate a player like he did Maja today.
To be fair he's right. I really hope we don't have an obligation to sign him. He's a fanny

He's wank and has done two-fifths of fuck all since he arrived. I wouldn't go near him even on a 'free'. Appalling footballer.

Agreed. Not sure there's anything to discuss, don't pick him again even as a sub and definitely don't sign him. Doubt anyone will argue with that.

I honestly though my link had frozen, then thought it can’t have done as other players are moving apart from Maja the Magician standing still.

What a mixed bag !! He did some decent things in the game and some really poor ! The stop was unbelievable - I can only think he thought he was off-side and had a brain freeze when he realised he wasn't.

I might be in the minority but I saw it slightly differently, he missed the opportunity to find Campbell and waited for an overload down the right hand side which never came. So he kept the ball and laid it off, should have had a run at the defender but we were 1-0 up so we weren’t chasing the game. His overall play was patchy but I thought he did ok. Should have buried his chances but Fletcher has missed similar so I certainly wouldn’t have bet my shirt on him tucking them away…….

He is a piss poor diouf. At least diouf ran and when he didnt have to think he scored. Maja is somewhere between a statue and a monolith.

Missed 2 chances today that even Vokes would have scored.

I think the reaction to it is a bit over the top tbh. There was one option really and yes he was perhaps at fault for missing that opportunity but there was no other option on his right side, he waited for the option and retained possession. If thats the worst I ever see in a Stoke shirt I will be very happy.
He should have done far better with the chances though.

Well he sometimes kept possession , layed the ball off, played several short passes under pressure and won the ball back a couple of times in the first half. I saw him do all these things during the game. Those moments were, I thought, decent.

People talk about needing technique etc etc. Technique means nothing if you can’t be bothered to use it, just ask Ravel Morrison.
I can forgive not taking goal scoring chances for players who are low in confidence etc (and he may well be), but when that part of your game isn’t happening (and especially when that’s all your game is) you need to at least put some effort into the rest of your performance.

We’re simply in a bad place, decent players will look poor. Not saying he’s decent but he’s part of an overall problem of a team with no direction and very little confidence. There isn’t one player putting in consistently good performances.

Why do Stoke fans need to have a hate figure? It’s pathetic I've not met a single person who 'hates' him. He has missed one great chance and another he could have done much better with. To finish it off, he then produced one of the oddest moments on a pitch I've seen in ages. Scapegoat, maybe. Hate? Nah not for me, Clive.

I am not a fan of Maja but his workrate is vastly improved since his arrival. I don't know whether MON can get him scoring regularly or not but we desperately need someone to put the goals in for us. I don't like the rumours circulating that we will still have very little money to spend this Summer. I had hoped that we would have been able to buy a few decent players instead of the lucky dips of the last 2 years.

The lad looked terribly dejected when he was subbed and when he went down the touch line at the final whistle.
Looks bereft of confidence.

I genuinely believe the reporting from radio Stoke plays a big part in peoples opinions on here. Although he wasn’t brilliant, and should have tucked away at least 1 today, he wasn’t awful. His link up play is better than anything else we have by a county mile.
