Not long now until he’s sacked and touted as the next best thing to another big club

His options are so limited with the current Everton squad in fairness, he’ll be hoping to squeeze out 4 home wins to just about keep them up……

No money at Derby, borrowed chelski youth team - did ok Went to chelski, couldnt handle multi million pound egos - got the bullet Goes to Everton, fans realise he is a massive fraud - sacking imminent.

Other than money, I don’t see why anyone would want that job. They are like us on a bigger scale. Just seem doomed to fail no matter what they try. Even if they survive, is Lampard really someone who is going to get them back towards where they should be?

Everton seems to be s graveyard for good players and no manager raises their profile there.

Sleepwalking to relegation
Or will they buy off opposition goalkeepers like last time?

He already looks completely out of his depth. Doesn’t help that he has an utterly dreadful squad to work with - can’t perform when going defensive under Rafa nor when trying to play out under Fat Frank.
Can’t help thinking Rooney would have gotten more out of this lot.

I don’t think they’ll go down this season. They have games in hand on others, but for an Everton side they are embarrassing.

Well if you go off our last 10 years as a whole it’s probably about as good as it’s ever been, but the last few have been catastrophically bad and Everton are the same. They haven’t been any good for years now, and keep spending millions, changing managers and going backwards - like us.

There is only Everton, Liverpool and Arsenal who have not been relegated from the top flight in my football watching lifetime.
For what it's worth I don't think that will change any time soon.

Everton are currently two points worse off than we were after 25 games in 17/18. They've got some really tough fixtures ahead of them as well and their goal difference is now worse than Burnley's.
Their next two fixtures are Wolves and Newcastle at home and if they don't get at least four points from them it's going to be a really nervous run in for them.

GC likes this and they have to play at least two six pointers which could be the true killers.

Can’t help thinking Rooney would have gotten more out of this lot. Is the squad that bad? Pickford, Keane, Mina, Doucoure, El Ghazi, Alli, V D Beek, Gomes, Gray, DCL, Richarlison. Those aren’t bad players really, I know they lack quality in other positions like Fullback but it’s not the worst. I wonder what’s going on at the club though, they seem to have a bit of a “stoke” vibe at present!

Last game is away at Arsenal Tough run in for them! Wolves Newcastle West Ham Man Utd Palace Liverpool Chelsea Leicester Brentford Arsenal I reckon 10-12 points in those games based on their current form, they might be relying on teams being worse than them to stay up.

Their next two games are enormous really. Home games against Wolves and Newcastle, you'd expect a reaction after today. They need 3-4 points from those minimum.

I suppose 4 points there could be enough of an insurance to take some pressure off the tougher games, but Wolves aren’t too shabby and Newcastle annoyingly look like they’ve finally started to pick up points so it’ll be tough.

Burnley v Everton still a rearranged fixture to be played aswell.. Was orignally a cancelled Boxing Day fixture due to Covid.
That one could well be a true 6 pointer with some real significance..
That's still quite a tough run in for Everton and if I had a spare fiver, think I'd be putting it on Burnley over Everton right now!

There’s a cartel of clubs who now seem immune to relegation and, for whatever reason, I always classed Everton as in that cartel. But looking at their fixtures they’re in serious trouble if they don’t pick up some big wins in the next few games. As we found out, once you start getting sucked into the black hole it’s incredibly difficult to escape.
I’d say I don’t want them to come down as they’d probably be too overpowered for this league. But seeing as we’re so shit we’d be unlikely to be in their mini-league, I say fuck em. Come on down.
