There is only Everton, Liverpool and Arsenal who have not been relegated from the top flight in my football watching lifetime. For what it's worth I don't think that will change any time soon. So fill yer boots with the 1/5 available for Everton to stay up.

Remember watching Stoke beat Liverpool 2-0 in the old Division 2 in 1961 I think it was, last match of the season with Liverpool going up as Champions. Was Liverpool’s last match outside the top flight.

There’s a cartel of clubs who now seem immune to relegation and, for whatever reason, I always classed Everton as in that cartel. But looking at their fixtures they’re in serious trouble if they don’t pick up some big wins in the next few games. As we found out, once you start getting sucked into the black hole it’s incredibly difficult to escape. I’d say I don’t want them to come down as they’d probably be too overpowered for this league. But seeing as we’re so shit we’d be unlikely to be in their mini-league, I say fuck em. Come on down. I was thinking that also but it's certainly not as a daunting prospect as the Geordies getting relegated would of been. The size of their club, fanbase & finances would of been quite overwhelming, they'd of been a stronger and bigger version of Fulham this year. Everton getting relegated would be a strange proposition to face as they've simply never known anything other than Premier League footy and could see them going either way. They'd have a lot of Premier League contracted players to juggle around and as we showed on a smaller scale, it's an unforgiving League & you don't always get what you think your stature warrants. Whereas a Burnley and Norwich have yo-yo'd between the leagues before and would be acclimatised to the challenges that exist. Would definitely make it an interesting season having Everton down there with us.

Forest have been in the championship since 2008 having been promoted from Division 1 the previous season.

The way the fans (Everton) are talking about there club is that it's just a shit-show run by bad owners. If they were relegated they would have a load of disinterested players on mega wages looking for a way out. It would be pretty bad news which ever way you slice it. Norwich and Burnley know exactly how to handle relegation and would almost certainly bounce back at the first attempt. A top heavy over rated Everton, hmm good luck, they'll need it.

Tough run in for them! Wolves Newcastle West Ham Man Utd Palace Liverpool Chelsea Leicester Brentford Arsenal I reckon 10-12 points in those games based on their current form, they might be relying on teams being worse than them to stay up. Their next two games are enormous really. Home games against Wolves and Newcastle, you'd expect a reaction after today. They need 3-4 points from those minimum. Just going to post the same. They have a win in them in at least one perhaps. If not it's time to start worrying

Funny definition of failure! 9 League titles, 5 FA Cup Wins, I European Cup Winners Cup Win to our 1 League Cup Win. Doomed to failure! Well if you go off our last 10 years as a whole it’s probably about as good as it’s ever been, but the last few have been catastrophically bad and Everton are the same. They haven’t been any good for years now, and keep spending millions, changing managers and going backwards - like us. I know what you mean. It will be hilarious if they are relegated. POOF in an instant "only Arsenal have been continuously in the top flight longer than Everton" will be consigned to the scrap heap.

But seeing as we’re so shit we’d be unlikely to be in their mini-league, I say fuck em. Come on down. It usually happens slowly... I would have put Villa in that same cartel. Come to think of it, all those years ago it would have been unthinkable for Wolves or Leeds to go down. I was starting to wonder if ManU were on there way, but sadly I think they will recover.

That's going well.

I guess 6 letters in the correct order is asking a lot . The only irony is the comment before, you calling someone else an idiot then spelling his name wrong. Imagine how you'd cope with a random German's name. 😃👍.

Other than money, I don’t see why anyone would want that job. They are like us on a bigger scale. Just seem doomed to fail no matter what they try. Even if they survive, is Lampard really someone who is going to get them back towards where they should be? Where Should they be?
