Took it to the next level last night He is a complete and utter fruit loop. How were any of us taken in by this charlatan? I think he'd spontaneously combust if he actually ever won anything.

Sometimes a manager and club are just a bad fit for each other, especially at certain times.
He wasn't what we needed and we weren't what he needed at that point in time.
I hope it doesn't deter us from rolling the dice on an up and coming young manager in the future.

He was a disaster for us, a total and utter disaster. Did he work his arse off day and night to make it work? I honestly think he did.
The guy is doing a superb job for Luton, they're punching way above their weight so I'm not sure where all the animosity comes from? And I don't like the constant insults about his religion if I'm honest either, people can believe what they want to believe as long as they harm no one in the process.
The best thing we can do is ignore him when they come to the Bet365 in a few weeks time, cause if you think his reaction was over the top then wait and see what it will be like if we give him pelters and they go on and beat us, he'll be running topless round the pitch........

Very much a case of a man suited to small operations dealing with well motivated and probably young players. As mentioned above - the chances of him being able to transfer his brand of enthusiasm / madness to the seasoned high earners we had was virtually nil. Mind you despite having some sympathy for him I really couldn’t have put up with his post match drivel any longer than we did. It really was 99% nonsense.

I wonder whether one of the reasons why he failed with us was a hostile/toxic dressing room. Crouchie remarked that when he joined us it was really good and when he left us it was one of the worst he had encountered. He is clearly doing an excellent job at Luton but clearly failed to get us to play the way he wanted to.

He is clearly doing an excellent job at Luton but clearly failed to get us to play the way he wanted to. He failed from the start, as did our "recruitment team". The moment he waxed lyrical about his famous diamond formation, then proceeded to sign Stephen Ward and Jordan Cousins for arguably the two most important positions in it it had disaster written all over it.......

When you look at Luton's budget and how dreadful they are man for man, he was unlucky not to win manager of the year last year. He should be right up there if Luton get anywhere near the play offs.
We will probably look back on Jones' time as a massive wasted opportunity. Still, it was a poor fit for both parties. We had a squad of superstars who thought they were too good for a man from the Third Division. Was Jones, who led anti-gambling campaigns in Luton, really feel 100% himself standing on the touchline plastered in the bet365 logo?
I said when he left that he would be in the Premier League before us. I hope I'm wrong.

Would it have worked out better if we had him here before Rowett? The money Rowett wasted,Jones would have had to spend putting together what team he needed.

If maniacal passion counted, he'd win the Prem easily. He should never have left Luton in the first place. Both they and us would have been far happier if he'd stayed. I happen to like eccentric people and even though I know he was rubbish for us, I can't find it within me to dislike the nutter. As for his religious leanings... at least he's not a Jehovah's Witness. OS.

The owners know the good work we are doing behind the scenes.
The bloke was a complete looney when he was our manager. He had the worst run of results, we were diabolical under his stewardship. Quite happy when he finally went. Good luck to him at Luton.
Just pleased he is not here, and his time with us is a distant memory.

The bloke is so jeykll & Hyde he's one of those people who cant contain his emotions in an even keel. He's either full on exiteable as this footage demonstrates or proper down in the dumps and almost argumentative in his demeanour. Remember sitting in on the afternatch Derby press conference after we'd drew the game 2-2 & he was sat there and answering questions like a man possessed and I recall him coming across almost rude and sarcastic to the interviewers purely coz the game/result never went his way. Managing Luton Town is probably his rightful level & his short Stoke experience has probably been a bigger life lesson to him than anything else, sure he's admitted as much himself.
