My first question would be why?
Hardly prolific and we don’t seem short of strikers. If we do need one wouldn’t a target man type me more suitable.

I think that’s a given. But there must be another? Surridge hopefully. Morgan Fox I mean solely in the attackers. We have a shit ton of them. Maja would make it 6 strikers alone….

theathletic.com/2360794/2021/02/02/josh-maja-the-finisher-with-unfinished-business-at-fulham“What I would say is that, if he gets opportunities, he is clinical and can be clinical in England, too. He is a complete player in that sense: he can use his left foot, his right foot, he is strong with his head — and that’s an advantage. But you have to supply him. He’s not a player who will create a chance out of nothing for himself. He needs a supply line.” Statistically, Maja bears this point out, although his limited minutes make for difficult comparisons. He is not the type who creates opportunities but, curiously, his link-up and hold-up play stood out according to smarterscout’s assessment of last season

What the hell the plan for them all is anyones guess.

Forest pulled plug on a 4m deal apparently in summer because of a recurring back injury.
Wonder why they'd not be in for him again?

Why bring in a player who doesn’t score that many goals and has been injured all season? We need someone who can look less fit than Tyrese now Doughty is off to Cardiff and Sima is going back to Brighton it seems.

I don’t know. I don’t actually think we need a striker right now (if Powell stays fit). Brown, JPB, DWP/Campbell and Powell in the same team should do well. Campbell will find form. JPB has hit the post twice already for us. Powell will score. Brown will probably get 5 or so by the end of the season with goals not being his main asset. If Doughty goes out on loan (which id like to see), we still have Ince and Fletcher (and Surridge (and Sima). If two or even three of those also leave, then okay, let’s bring someone else in, otherwise it seems too much of a wage risk.

That first goal is atrocious! When we talk about bringing in top scorers from league one, here is a great highlight for that. His first touch was worse than Brown’s. He then jogs to the loose ball in the area as the defender stops harrying him and even backs off. He fires an okay shot at goal and the goalie somehow doesn’t get down quick enough.

Recall this lad being the star of the show on the early episodes of 'Sunderland Till I Die'. Sounds like one of those players who showed real early promise but peaked far to young for one reason or another.
