We need a Director of Football, our transfer strategy is the machinations of a madman. Andy Cousins is now Head of Football Operations, so presumably he is that madman, if he wasn’t already?

He spent some time pre-2015 in Man City's youth set up. I think that was the same time Andy Cousins was scouting for them so maybe a link there? Sunderland views from when he played in League One. Useful to consider that he was young when he played for Sunderland only 18-20 years of age!

Surridge? Given we only bought him in the Summer, I guess it would be classed as ‘surprising’ given we’ve not long spent money on him. I’m definitely all for Maja signing though. Lovely news to wake up to!

Bidace is promising, but not our player. I'd rather see DWP on the wing as he is our player and in my opinion just as good. Bidace has got very good close conrtrol, but his vision when it comes to seeing team mates in better positions isn't impressive. I actually think DWP has a much better vision than Bidace from what I've seen so far. If we are going to play with 3 players on top I'd actually play with with a formation like this: ...............Bursik................... Wilmot.......Jags...THB.........Tymon .........Allen........Baker........... ..............Powell.................. Campbell.......Brown............DWP... Campbell needs a lot of gametime to improve his fitness and sharpness, Brown has improved a lot and is the only player to run into channels to get the ball, and DWP is a really exciting prospect that also will need a lot of games to improve. He is already very exciting though. I'm not sure Tymon is good enough defensively to play as a traditional left back though.

Yep agree with LB and Tymon, its a concern, but I'm so glad we have ditched Fox. Reminds me of Alec Lindsay when he came to Stoke. I would probably disagree about Bidace. For someone coming in as a loan he's hit the floor running, which is a novelty in itself. He's too good not to be on the pitch whatever the other options imo. I think he will get alot better as he gets used to playing at this level. Some very exciting options though!

Sounds to me that could be Campbell Not sure that it would be popular I guess it depends on how much we’d get. His contribution since returning from injury has been negligible if we get 15m+ then it would be good business if it gives us the opportunity to strengthen in the summer and keep the likes of Powell. With FFP we’re in a very different world now and we need to adjust to the fact that we can’t just spend what we want.

Campbell out? On his recent performance can't see why Premier League clubs would go for him Maybe because they can see that he's a young lad that has ALOT of potential and is only just coming back from a major injury. I can't believe how quickly he is being written off

I can't believe how quickly he is being written off His previous form and his potential is exactly why Premier League clubs would have him as one to watch but he's been poor for two months solid, that's why I can't see a Premier League club sanctioning a move for him atm

Really can’t see a prem team coming in for him.

But £15 million is nothing to most Premier league clubs, i can see teams taking a £15 million risk on his potential or potentially him getting back to his usual self and then costing £35 million.

I can't believe how quickly he is being written off It’s pathetic isn’t it Considering the way he was being built up as our superstar when he was out injured. Is it the people who build up a player, the same as those so keen to knock them down I wonder? Expectations of Ty have been over the top and now the criticism is way over the top too.

Obligatory purchase of (rising to) 3.5m euros in the summer?
Mercato Girondins: Josh Maja will be loaned to Stoke City (English D2) with OA mandatory which can go up to 3.5M€.
The degreasing of the workforce and the payroll (130K€ gross) continues.

It's absolutely mental, Mick. I guess some of the concern is around Butland after his injury where he was never the same again and we lost out on a big fee that could have made a huge difference to the club. Ultimately it all comes down to what we do with the money. Another thing to consider is we also now have Wright Phillips and potentially a 16 year old wonder kid on our hands.

From that video he looks a natural in front of goal. He doesn't panic, has good ball control, and he knows where the back of the net is. Providing we move someone out then he's worth taking a punt on.
OS.

We've got to stumble on a prolific striker at some point haven't we after all the poor signings we've made these last few years.

If Maja is coming in for c£3.5m then we must be losing someone where we can get that kind of money or more.
It's Campbell that must be going.
